I wonder if.. ever so slowly.. the old Mitch is coming back.
Most who have read my posts know I'm a Braves fan. Through the years, I would get very into it when the Braves and Mets played, even when I was in PA. When the Mets and Braves played, in Atlanta, or NY, I'd watch every pitch, and react.
Last year, nothing, zero.
This weekend, Mets and Braves played their first 2013 series in Atlanta. I was really into it from the get go. The Braves lost a very frustrating game on Friday night, and I was pissed, compounded by the fact that the WPVI website wasn't working, so I couldn't watch Jim Gardner to calm me down.
Then, after a rainout last night, Mets and Braves again today. This time the Braves won big, and again I was into it.
The Braves will be in NY Memorial Day. I could go alone, but that's no fun. My friend Barney is coming off a long biz trip, so he said he doesn't want to go. I'm going to ask my friend Adam, or my dad.
Maybe.. it takes a year to get the interest back. All I know is.. after the last pitch of the Mets-Braves game today, I wanted.,. more Mets and Braves. It hasn't been like since.. 2009 maybe. in 2010, my mom was sick, and then in 2011, we were in NJ all summer, and I didn't care. Last year, I was deadville.
I hope this is a sign that the old Mitch is coming back. I know that next Sunday will be rough.,. but.. besides that, I have a feeling that I haven't had in a long time.
