I have to say this past year has had some big ups and downs but for the most part was a good year.
My family dealt with my dad being in Afghanistan for the first half of the year. It was rough at points but as always seems to only bring us that much closer. We had a killer party when he came home that was truly indescribable. I don't think that is an event I will ever forget how ever long I live.
I had a breast cancer scare that thankfully was nothing; my grandparents were told the state is taking their house for road expansion but now the Turnpike Commission is up on corruption charges so that's been stalled; I told an amazing family trip on a cruise line to the Caribbean; and I have my own apartment now .
I have made so many friends this past year and be lucky to get to a few gatherings. The munches are going well which makes me happy. I was able to pay off a lot of bills. The weight has been up and down but oh well.
I think the biggest thing for me this past year has been that for one of the first times in my life I can say I like where am and who I am. I still have some issues but no where near as bad as they have been. The only way that has been bad is that my writing ideas have all dried up but I think I can live with that trade off. I know I will probably never look like a cover model but for the first time in my life I'm okay with it. It's no longer a huge deal for me and I am comfortable in my own skin. Will I still try and slim down hell yea but for the first time it's all about my health.
I couldn't be happier with the living situation either. I finally am out of my parents house and it's been so exciting. I have a fun though crazy roommate but I wouldn't change that. Hopefully we can get it organized at some point and have some close friends over or something. It's just been fun getting my own space to decorate and relax at.
With all that's happened here's hoping 2010 goes just as well! I hope everyone has a great New Year!
