Liner Notes: We take a break from our regularly scheduled programing of Tales of the Desperate to bring you a new homage, Tickle Monsters of Hollywood magazine. My fetishist take on a classic rag published when I was growing up, when monsters were wicked boss, man. Hilarious now, looking back, that the publisher made a gold mine out of rehashing old stills from seemingly any cheaply obtained or rights-exhausted horror / slasher flick. All strung together with the most puerile and trumped-up filler writing anyone would want to ignore... we just bought it for the pictures... especially the quasi-nude torture scenes and Vapirella's boobs. Truth be told, in a kids world of 15 and 20 cent comic books, this $1.00 mag was usually out of the average kid's allowance range, but, crap mag or no, where else could a kid find such a reliable collection of classic monsters?
