Ok, those of you who know me know what's been going on for the last few weeks. My father had a massive heart attack 2 1/2 weeks ago and in turn had to be rushed into open heart surgery where he proceeded to have a quintuple bypass. With the exception of one night, he's been in the hospital ever since.
I lost my mom 2 years ago due to cancer so my dad is pretty much all I have left. It's been a scary road full of complications and and not knowing. He had to have a liter and a half of fluid drained from his chest due to fluid retention and it looks like he's going to be getting more drained tomorrow. And tonight I found out that he more than likely has congestive heart failure. When it rains, it really does pour.....
I have had an incredible amount of love and support thrown my way and so many prayers and good wishes for my dad. I can't even begin to tell you how much that means to me. Everyone has been so supportive and it's meant the world to me. Thank you. 🙂
I would however like to give a special shoutout to someone very special to me. Leafstk aka my Leafy Greens, thank you for being with me every single scary step. You are amazing and I really don't know what I'd do without you. Your love and strength carry me though what I often feel like are impossible moments. You never fail to make me feel supported, loved and cared for and you do anything just to see me smile.
Because of you, I realize that no matter what life throws my way, I can overcome it. Thank you for being my strength when my own runs out.
