I was holding my breath after the email I got last Friday, and didn't want to post until I was certain.. but.. from all indications, things with Aflac will just continue as they are.
I hadn't been receiving the usual Do Not Call list emails from my supervisors, which was of great concern.
When agents joined the company, all new agents sold a policy to an immediate family member, to be able to earn their first commissions while they were searching for their first clients. I sold one to my dad, that I got a commission on.
So far, I haven't had any concrete specific clients, only several things that might/hopefully will happen.
Yesterday, I got a letter from the company, stating that a premium on the insurance policy I took out for my dad is due. Basically, the bottom line was.. they wanted me to start paying back the advance commission.
I had to send a decent sized check in, but did so, no questions asked, because, retaining my position there is most important.
The last two days I've been getting the usual do not call list emails from my supervisors, thank heaven. I have the usual Wednesday seminar tomorrow. Things seem to be back to normal.
Now, hopefully, some of the things I'm working on will come to pass.
