As those who heard it are aware, Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg passed away today.
Sad news.
As baseball fans are aware. The Atlanta Braves are playing the New York Mets this weekend at Citi Field in NY.
I was thinking to myself as I was sitting at lunch today.
"The Braves are in New York this weekend. Something major is going to happen. "
Sure enough it did.
Through the years, it seems that every time the Braves are in New York, some major event happens, either in my personal life, or a major news story.
It is.. almost .. chilling.
Through the years, when the Braves have been in NY.
I graduated college. (1994)
My grandmother died ((1995)
My mom and I got notification of something personal that caused us to move from NJ to PA. (1998)
JFK Jr Plane Crash. (1999)
My mom'/s passing and funeral. (Right before and around an opening week Mets and Braves series in NY in 2012. )
Now.. Justice Ginsburg passes away while the Braves are in NY this weekend.
My Dad , knock on wood, seems better. I spoke to him earlier today. He said he is improving. ]
Is this coincidence.
It is simply chilling.
I;m not going to get into the political questions about Justice Ginsburg 's passing here. As I truly am sorry she passed away.
We all know what is happening in six weeks.
It will be interesting to see how her passing affects the political climate between now and then.,
