All I have to say is.. "Touche,", and I was right.
Since this is personal.. its going in the blog.
I have incorporated my new business. The lawyer has the papers filed, and the name and concept of the business are mine, trademarks, etc.
I have come up with an excellent idea for how to market the business, one which my lawyer and my dad heartily approve, even though they said "You dont have to ask us" . I'm working on the presentation as we speak..
Soooo., in spite of the fact that the arrogant Barney is rubbing all his good fortune in my face, and wants me to be supportive of him, he was extremely negative, and condescending, when I talked about my idea of how to market the business, which royally pissed me off. My relatives are infuriated, and we all came up with the same conclusion.
Barney can only deal with this friendship, when I'm pounded down.. Poor.. loveless, miserable. Such has been my recent fortune. He needs to feel like he has the upper hand, always.. If I had it better than him, he couldnt deal with it.
I dont want to count my chickens until they hatch, but my point has been proven clearly.
The joke of the whole thing is.., while I'm hopeful that my marketing idea will work.. its highly possible that considering Barney's job history, he could be unemployed in a month.. or a year. My dad, who is a CPA, personally thinks that Barney's current job may have hired him for tax season only, and will fire him soon after, as has happened soooo many times in the past.
As I'm building my business, I need to step back, and re assess this friendship. His demeanor truly is unreal.
