So I get a phone call from a friend of mine today. Haven't heard from him in quite a while, so I'm excited to catch up a bit. Turns out there are some major things going on in his life, all of them positive, so I'm super psyched for him.
Then he tells me the real reason he called. He needs some help moving things around his apartment, and wants my help.
Isn't there some rule that you can't re-establish contact with someone after more than a year because you need a favor? Now, I'm not saying I'm totally innocent in this; phones work both ways and all. But, seriously, if you weren't calling to tell me you were going to be a dad, but because you wanted me to move a box or two, I don't know if I can still call us 'friends'.
