THANK YOU, SADIRA AND TF4F,
FOR A FUN AND AWESOME WEEKEND!!!
It's already been over week since it took place and I'm just now getting around to writing about it. Procrastination at it's finest. I've been wanting to write something about it, but I kept putting it off because I wasn't sure what I wanted to say. Well, fuck it. Sometimes the best stuff in life happens on the spur of the moment rather than being planned.
MTP 2011 was my second gathering and my second MTP. I planned on attending MTP again and making it my second gathering mainly because to confirm that last year wasn't a fluke for me. If you've read my blogs, then you understand how hard it was for me to go last year. I have a hard time being in crowds, which is made difficult when it is a crowd of strangers. I took the plunge last year to attend and I was so happy that I did. This year, however, I wanted to go again this time as a veteran and see how I would do.
Going to MTP again was like being with family again. That's how it felt being welcomed back. MTP was smaller than last year, but it didn't change the family atmosphere of the gathering. I totally and completely understand now how other gatherers feel about attending a gathering for the second, third, tenth, or fiftieth time. 😀
The entire weekend was such a blast. Friday is always the munch, a time to meet and chat and relax. Saturday and Sunday are for play time. Saturday night, movie night was reintroduced. It didn't happen last year, but it had at previous MTPs. I think movie night will become a tradition like Uno because it was nice sitting in the living room with everyone watching first Thor (which I didn't like all that much) then X-Men: First Class (which I loved).
As always the weekend was full of good food (Sadira and TF4F are excellent cooks) that leaves you stuffed to the gills and bullshitting and Uno raping that haves you busting a gut laughing.
I highly recommend attending MTP to everyone, especially anyone who has never attended a gathering before. I promise you will have fun.
I miss everyone.
