Regarding Vanillphant's hilarious recent blogpost, I have to come clean.....among other things, I, Leo, have been guilty of... the "Sneaky Brag".
Pray, let me explain......
If I ever give the impression that I am some kind of hunky dude or something, then strike "true" from the phrase "true story". I have been "lucky" at times, I have "done well for myself" over time but I am nothing more than an average-looking guy at best. At best.
When someone "likes" me or compliments me.....I am in disbelief. I have never shaken that amazement. To this day, I can't believe I've ever gotten close to any girl, much less plural. If I shoehorn that into any of my remembrances....it's not to brag. I'm reminding myself, hey bro......you ain't that bad. See?
I have no intention of ceasing the "Sneaky Brag"! But the "Sneaky Brag" should not be construed as a declaration of physical attractiveness! It should be construed as...."can you believe she liked me?! Can you fucking believe my good fortune?!"
(i also include it because I think what the 'lee and the 'ler think of each other is important...).
Ultimately - because it struck such a chord with me - it's got to be true. The Sneaky Brag.....guilty as charged!
