MTP will be my first gathering ever and I'm so excited and so incredibly nervous.
I told my mom today that I'm going to Michigan to visit friends. She was a little surprised, but overall she didn't ask a million questions like I thought she would. Of course like most parents when their son or daughter is about to do something for the first time, she's a little worried for my safety but I told her I wouldn't be going if I didn't think I would be safe. Now I just have to let my dad know. He'll be a little harder sell because I'm pretty sure he'll remind me all about safety and meeting people from the Internet and dah-di-dah-di-dah. I appreciate the concern my parents will have for me as I make my trip near the end of September, but it's part of an adult. Learning to do things on your own. 😀
Right now I'm a jumble of mixed emotions, primarily excitement and nervousness. I feel like I could run around like a chicken with its head cut off.
I'm not only going to my first gathering, but I'll be flying for the first time and this is also my first trip anywhere on my own. Overall it'll be an interesting and growing experience. 😀I look forward to meeting everyone at MTP.
