I'm going to respond to the outrageous charges against me about being "co-dependant", and the situation with my living with my mother.
For those that think they know it all.. my mother had very serious lung conditions, long before the first diagnosis of lung cancer. My "living with her". is actually what kept her in a regular apartment, and not a nursing home years earlier, as I used to clean for her, food shop for her, and help her up and down the stairs. In many ways, she was dependant on me as well.
I just love when people comment when they dont know the whole story, While she was sick with the cancer, all of her Drs, including the cancer Drs, and her internist, told me that it was a blessing I lived there, because I could take care of her if she was sick in the house, and call the hospital if she needed to go there, which is exactly what happened. On the morning she went to the hospital for the last time when they found the brain cancer, she was on the john, stuck there, without her cell phone, for hours on end. Had I not been there, she might well have died right there in the apartment as that whole incident was ocurring.
The whole thing is so outrageous, its comical.
