Ths is a poem I wrote when I was sixteen years old. It is going in my book. It is depressing and I do not know if it is even good. I need your opinion people. Should I add it?
I wish my mothers memory to live on. The book I am putting together will have some of my poetry as well as some of my Moms. I wish to donate some of the proceeds to The American Cancer Society. She would want that. My only hope is that it will sell. Let me know what you think of this. I am feeling a tad emotional right now so I do believe I will end this blog. This poem makes me a little sad. Thanks everyone for reading this.
This world it ever changes
day by blessed day
In and out of sorrow
lots amiss today
I think about my life
Where do I go from here?
Do I go back? Maybe stay?
Do I fight the growing fear?
My heart continues beating
At a fast and rapid pace.
Darkness forms around me
Do not forget my face.
As life slowly melts away
New life will settle in
I will not stand to witness
A time when things begin!
I will miss the times of laughter
I will cease to be
I hope dear God I have left my mark.
Please, remember me!
My heart begins to slow
My breath becomes no more
Rest assured I will not die
In your heart, my life is stored.
