... I once again had to use the brute force method to get my computer to do something it didn't want to do.
So, I'm on MSN. Decide to turn on the "show what I'm listening to" thing.
Song information comes up.
Battlefield -
Ah. Bugger. Seems I've forgotten to add artist info.
So, I do that for one of the songs.
Try it for the other. Windows Explorer crashes. You know, the icons, taskbar, all of that funky stuff.
Ok, I can handle that. Restart it. Go back. Try again. Same result. Try copying it out of the directory. No luck. Try cutting it out. No luck. Windows Explorer dies every. single. time.
Realise song is still open in Windows Media Player. Oops. Close WMP.
Try again.
"Windows cannot apply the properties to the selected file. Reason: Cannot remove file."
Well, shit.
Try copying it out again. No luck. Interesting.
Go into Recycle Bin. Find Battlefield.mp4. Restore. Re-convert, leaving it in a folder on my desktop. Apply details, copy to original folder. Overwrite when prompted.
Try to delete spare folder on desktop.
Windows Explorer dies again.
Interesting...
Try again, same result.
Ok, I think. I can handle this.
Open CMD.
rdir "C:\Users\Phil\Desktop\Panzer AG"
"There are files in the folder."
Epic.
Try deleting them normally. Windows Explorer dies.
Ok, interesting.
CMD again.
cd "C:\Users\Phil\Desktop\Panzer AG"
del "Battlefield.*"
dir
No files, cool.
cd "../"
rd "panzer ag"
No confirmation. Quick check of my desktop, and it's gone.
Fuck yes.
Anyway. That aside, finally got Jobseekers signed up for. You'd think it's easyish. But no.
Go in. Get told I should have rang. Get given number. Ring. Take half an hour to fill a form out over the phone. Get told "go BACK to Jobcentre next week." Do so. Have to reschedule driving lesson to fit things in. Find out, afterwards, that the person who was giving me a lift home has shot brakes. Can't be bothered with bus - car "ready by 2."
Half past 2, I finally get told to go to the garage.
>.>
Though I suppose, that isn't all Jobseekers 😛
Anyway. There's really no point to this post, I'm bored. Nobody on MSN. People off to uni at some point, and to be honest I really couldn't give a shit. Weird - some of the only people around here I know will be leaving and there's a good chance I'll never see some of them again. And I don't care.
But ah well. Life goes on. Well. Time goes on.
Need to sort out a meetup with some other people, come to think of it. Though not this weekend, off not being a Viking in a place called Castleton. Too late period for Vikings, people wanted to do Norman stuff... so guess who gets to get mauled by some guy in Crusader regalia. Yay!
But yeah. Before I start making even less sense, I'll sign off.
Later.
