I find that I always feel better after talking to my mom about what's troubling me, since she knows me better than anyone else on this Earth, I'd say. God, I love her so much. Which is why I can forgive her when she tells me that she's not okay with me going to forum gatherings at this point in my life. XD I'm really blessed to have a mother like her. :bubbleheart:

She's done her job of raising me and my brother extraordinarily well. I'd take a bullet for her. :redheart:

I mainly talked with her about my sexuality and how I don't always feel safe and secure in it. Not because I see myself as a monster for being gay, but because I feel that I'm always on the alert and ready to defend myself if anyone tries to persuade me out of it. I guess it's because I'm not 100% gay...more like 90% or 95% due to my obsession with pretty Japanese boys. lol So I'm probably a 5.5 on the Kinsey scale and WTF I just saw a construction worker moonwalking on the roof outside!! :shock:

So yeah, I think I was just having an off night yesterday. And a bit of an off morning today, as well. But I stressed myself out even more when I got onto myself for not cheering up quickly. See, I'm the kind of person who's a bit sensitive to the feelings of those I'm most close to. So when they're stressed or upset, I become uneasy and somber. Not to the symbiotic point of depression, though. So...when I have bad days, I become frustrated with myself for not being happy because since I'm so concerned with the feelings of my loved ones, I project that onto them and wonder if they're stressed out when I'm having an off day. But my mom assured me that not all people are like that and that it's perfectly fine to have those bad days. So, it's all good 😎

At the moment I'm reading some poems for my Intro to Lit class and they're all really beautiful. And it's exciting to see a poem by Sappho in there, as well. The founder of lesbianism. 😈 What a woman. 😀 I think my favorite poem I've read in my book so far is called "The Secret of Life" from the Bhagavad Gita, the central text of Hinduism. There's a lot of spiritual truth in that poem and it deeply moved me the first time I read it. This is why I strongly believe that there are many paths to God/truth/enlightenment. The God I believe in is not tame and can't be put inside any religious box. Sorry...I don't usually talk about my spiritual beliefs on here because I think that should be a private thing, but I just couldn't resist saying something after reading that poem. ^^;;

Hmm...I think we'll be discussing the 1951 film we saw on Tuesday, Pick Up on South Street, in Film class today. Wow, that movie was so violent. XD That one chick in it got slapped around so many times there should be a drinking game based off it. :bwahaha:

And the video of the day will be...5, actually. 😱 I'll be sharing the early 80s collection of Halloween-themed Disney cartoon clips entitled "Disney's Halloween Treat" with all of you. This is sure to bring back the nostalgia and get you in the spirit of spookivity. :witchy:
