Tl;dr: I'm shutting off PMs because I'm constantly being flooded by those from insufferable neckbeard-esque nobodies.
So I rarely log into this forum nowadays, partly because I have my in real life to worry about and partly because I've become gradually less happy here. It's a never-ending cycle; the more I put off coming here, the more these infuriating PMs pile up. I dread logging in to find at least 10 new messages a day - some of which were ongoing conversations from old forum friends (that have recently become lost in the ocean of... I'll explain in a bit), but the majority of which are from new lurkers with zero friends and zero posts who ask the same boring questions and flip their shit and chew me out for "ignoring" them when I take a while to respond. I had initially signed up for the forum part of this site; that's the most appealing part to me. Yet I can't even do that sometimes because I've been put off from this website all together due to the impatient, frankly bratty male strangers who feel entitled to 24 hours of attention from some girl on the internet. It's draining, it's stressful, and I'm sick of it.
I understand now why so many women come across as bitchy and cold online - it's because they're sick of this too. For fucks sake, if people want feeeemales to like them then they should stop being so impatient and demanding, understand that us "grills" are people too and that we don't exist just to feed you roleplay or stories every day.
I'm still greatful for the long-term friends I've made on here, and those people I would happily keep talking to. But for now I'm turning off my private messaging system, because then maybe I'll begin to like this place again once I stop getting bombarded by the whiny fucks on here.
