Megan was the first and recently it was Emily. Two close friends of mine have tied the knot. It's so weird. 😀
Megan married Ken two weekends ago on August 15th. From the very beginning I knew they had something special. You can just see how much they love each. 😀 Unfortunately, Ken's family wouldn't accept Megan, so his family wasn't there. His mother was for the wedding ceremony but didn't go to the reception. It is sad that he had to deal with his family's inability to accept the woman he loves.
Just recently this past weekend on August 29th, Emily married Matt. Matt has been the best thing to happen to Emily since she and Ray broke up. Ray is still stuck in his own little world and hasn't learned from his mistakes. But Matt was an obvious improvement and I know he truly loves Emily. 😀
It feels weird that they're married now. It's similar to how I felt after I graduated and had to get used to the fact that I was done with school. No more going back to school in the fall, attending classes Monday thru Friday, and seeing my friends. We moved from one chapter of our lives to the next. That is what we're doing now. At my age (22) many people I used to know in school are tying the knot or getting engaged to tie the knot.
I'm happy for my friends. It'll just take some getting used to, to this new chapter in our lives. 😀
