I've learned in the past couple of weeks that I cannot eat the way that I used to.
I visited a friend in NJ shortly after New Years.
We went to an all you can eat Chinese Buffet, similar to the ones I used to visit regularly when I lived in Lancaster, PA for so many years.
In the years I lived in Lancaster, I would go to Chinese Buffets usually once a week, and eat soup, dumplings, egg rolls, three plates of main dish, and desserts.
When I visited the buffet with my friend , I was only able to eat soup, egg rolls, a dumpling, one plate of food, and a couple of desserts, and I was full.
This weekend, I unwisely ate fast food Japanese food for lunch, of chicken and rice, and then for some reason, came home, and ordered Chinese food for dinner. Let's just say that afterwards, I did not feel well, and I won't be eating that way again.
As those who have read my posts are aware, I'm 20-30 pounds less than I was when I lived in Lancaster. I'm at the weight I was when I was in my 20s. All the weight I gained during the years in PA is gone. So much that people who know me say. "Mitch, you're so thin". I guess its okay for a guy almost 50 to be that way. At least the Dr is not on me to watch my weight.
As this scenario with eating happened to me twice in two weeks, I just thought it interesting.
