Hey Everyone:
It has been a few weeks since I posted my last blog about my sister's condition.
First of all let me say thank you to everyone who has been so kind to me on here and shown full support and love.
For a small update on my sister's condition...
She had a bone marrow test done, which was not pleasant for her, but the results WERE positive.
The cancer hasn't spread to her bones or organs.
The oncologist is 100% sure that it's only stage 2 Hodgkins disease.
My sister had her first chemotherapy treatment last Wednesday and is feeling better already. Her breathing is getting better and she seems happier than before and more cheerful.
I know this healthy state won't last for long and that the chemo will eventually wear her down and make her exhausted and sick...but for now she is staying positive.
Her hair will start to fall out soon too, but she's accepted it and it is not as big a deal or shock anymore.
On a happier note, I attended NEST last weekend and had a phenomenal time.
I plan to post a longer thread in the NEST section eventually!
