Merry Christmas, everybody!
And what an eventful holiday week I've had. O__O
On the 20th was my hand mime performance and it went just perfectly. We practiced it so many times that the actual night of the performance was a piece of cake. And the little kids put on a cute little Christmas pageant, too. 😀 OH, and Santa randomly showed up at the end of the service and the kiddos got to sit on his lap. And my mom made me get a picture with him, too. lol XD But...the bad news is that my brother's video of the performance wasn't even zoomed in, so you can barely even see the little pictures I made with the other kids from the youth group. >.> But it might be a better quality if we watch it on an actual screen and enhance it a little bit. And this other guy got a video of the perf, too so I might end up sharing that one instead. But my bro did get some pictures of me practicing for it. :3 I'll definitely post them once he sends them to me.
And, let's see...on Monday I went to see A Christmas Carol in theaters and it was a really awesome experience. The 3D just made it so much fun. I don't think the film had much rewatchable value, but it's definitely worth paying the full price for a ticket just to see it in 3D. It was a visual feast for the eyes. Though there are some disturbing scenes in it so I wouldn't recommend it for little kids. lol XD I mean, what kid would want to see the Ghost of Christmas Present withering away to bones and dust while laughing on the floor? Or demonic horses with glowing red eyes and the embodiment of Want laughing maniacally while bound in a straight-jacket? ....Yeah, didn't think so. lol
Tuesday I watched The Homecoming and Christmas in Connecticut with the fam.
Yesterday I was at my Dad's house and got to see my adorable little niece. ^^ And there was some tickling going on between her, my step-brother, and his girlfriend on a couch and...seeing that in public always makes me uncomfortable for obvious reasons. XD OH, but I did get a digital camera!! 8D It was the Christmas present from my Dad and it's my very first one, too. It's brick red, it's from Nikon, and it's just AWESOME! I'm gonna use it to take lots of pictures when I'm away at college. 😀
And today was one of the best days of the year. For one thing, my family broke from tradition and decided to start opening up presents today rather than tomorrow morning! : After our regular Christmas Eve viewing of A Christmas Story, we just dove right in. My brother and I got my mom some earrings and perfume. ^^ And I got a heap of gifts, so I'm gonna have to list them all right here. I received:
Tomorrow I'll be spending the day over at my aunt's house and we'll eat dinner and play games and stuff. 8D
Now I think I'm gonna stuff my face with some chocolate cupcakes, curl up with my new Snuggie (yeah go ahead and laugh lol) and watch We're All Angels. God, I feel so incredibly blessed at the moment.
I really really hope all of you had a splendid Christmas. :
Lots of love
