Where the blog title came from? I'm not quite sure. Green Day is a great, VERY underrated band IMO and that song is pretty spectacular for various reasons, but as for the title. Just kinda presented itself. 🙂
But again, this post might not go the duration and survive the chopping block. It's now...5:18 in the PM, Eastern time, lets see where we go. As for right now, I'm just trying to get in as much acoustic guitar practice before it gets too late, this'll be sporatic. If all goes well, I'd like to write a bit about the last....year and a half or so of learning how to play the guitar, developing vocals, transitioning from acoustic to electric and all kinds of goood stuff. I just put three ooo's in good so that must be a good thing. 😉
I gotta vent a little so I'll keep this negative bulls**t brief. Word of the year thus far has been ''bleak'', f'n very bleak. I just wanna blow through this fast. This was my first year back to work after having a serious neck injury and then a serious back injury back in 2009. My proverbial ''God''. WTF? It's been absolutely unreal. Going from an EXTREMELY physical background, in all aspects, to this has been a bit mindblowing. More than a lot to deal with.
Did I mention bleak yet? If not I should have. Either way, I'm going to transition from this direction to somewhere else real quick. That other road is a dead end path going to absolute oblivion. How do I know? It's where I spend most of my time.
Onto music stuff. I'll try to squeeze as much stuff in here before I pass/black out tonight. A brief pause for now, I'm going to jam for a few while it's still early...

I'm just about thirty deep so things are a bit fuzzy. It's been a about a year and a half since I started playing acoustic guitar and working on my voice. F'n tough. The guitar is a tough endeavor to try and tackle. Yeah, it's f'n hard....LOL....And that's coming from an obsessive, who's constantly getting after it.
Before I Pass out, I've spent about, 6 months trying to learn this one song in particular. In trying to learn that one song, I've also been trying to learn proper technique. Things like proper strumming, pick angle, timing, and things of that nature. What a f'n task. Actually, let me take a few to practice....

...Very recently, about a week and a half ago to be exact, I bought an electric guitar. And while it's a bit easier to make the chords and notes sound cleaner, it's a bit harder to look down to see the frets and strings. And while that may sound a little foolish, try having your neck almost broken, those couple inches might as well be a mile. I't's definately a work in progress. 🙂
I'm too uncomfortable to write. As of now, my back and neck are completely trashed. Absolute f'n dejection.
