I know this won't mean anything to those who didn't grow up in the Kansas City area in the
60s, but I just found out and can't let it pass without notice. Mike Murphy was an iconic and much beloved figure in Kansas City for many years. I have so many fond memories of listening to him as a kid. Radio was a very different beast then, as was television in the days before corporations gained almost total control over the airwaves. R.I.P. Mike, and thanks for the memories.
