JaneyD recently posted the questions:
"When you buy clips, how important is the model?
Do you have a favorite? Who and why?
What if a TMF member were to be in a video? Would you want or would you be more interested to get that clip?"
It raises an interesting point for reflection. What do I look for in a tickling video? Here's a collection of thoughts, not necessarily in priority order. I've seen hundreds of them, so have become more picky about it than the gushing sense of excitement that washed over me with the first preview clip I ever came across (Hawaiian Sand Trap Tickle, by Solefully Yours, in case you're curious).
1. Between 5-12 minutes long. Usually more in the 8 minute range.
2. I prefer female lers, regardless of the lee (though I prefer male lee). Probably because my favorite tickling instrument is fingernails and lighter touches, and women's fingers are more delicately built for it. And in no small part because I'm straight, and like to put myself in the ler's position.
3. Video quality varies. Top tier of quality, considering lighting and everything, are Tickle Abuse, Tickle Central, Czech Ticklish Girls/Feet, and Addie Juniper. Some start-ups look like a Walmart brand video camera.
4. Fingers/fingernails. Personal preference. Brushes undoubtedly tickle, maybe even much more, but are just too blunt looking for me (even though of course they could be skillfully applied - most just seem to saw like crazy). I suppose it divulges the teasing/mental aspect that I enjoy. Sonicare and those like it are more refined, okay.
5. Bare skin. Not a nylon fan. Again, I don't doubt that it might be more ticklish for some (and I don't intend to test this personally). My logic is that the more exposed the nerve endings, the easier to excite, and that's the story I'm sticking to. 🙂
6. Feet #1. Every other spot, #10. Get my point? As long as there's at least one person on the feet most of the time, I'm happy.
7. Gang tickling. Three's a good number. Much more, and the dialogue can get all disjointed. Two's better than one. If it's an erotic clip, then having feet-privates double-teamed is top-shelf (Tickledguy is leading the pack on this, then Czech Ticklish a close second, then miles behind are the others).
8. Enthusiastic lers / ticklish lees. Pretty easy to spot the actors after a while. If the ler isn't smiling and the lee doesn't flinch / writhe immediately and often, it's not my scene. Lers who tease, especially baby talk (personal preference). A lee with a great laugh can carry an entire video.
9. Tight restraint. Flailing limbs aren't really being tickled, and loosely restrained limbs that aren't flailing, aren't too ticklish. So it ties into #8.
10. Clean language. I'm no prude, so I suppose the thinking here is that cursing conveys anger/terror rather than enjoyment. The occasional burst, though, is a great indicator of true torment so can be a boost.
11. Attractive models, male or female. If I'm spending money, unless I know the players personally, they need to be in at least moderately good shape.
12. English. Because the mental play between ler and lee means so much. This says a lot about Czech Tickling. They might be at the top of the list if I could understand a word they were saying.
A dozen's long enough for now. I might increase it later.
Now to Janey's questions.
1. The model is very important. However, I don't need it to be a widely-known name(s) at all. If they meet the qualities above, it's golden.
2. My favorites are Tasha from Tickle Abuse and Addie Juniper. They smile, tease, use nails, and as lees are wildly ticklish.
3. Similar to #1, it doesn't matter what the name of the person is, much.
Thanks to JaneyD for the provoking question.
