I've posted on here how my uncle and I had a falling out in Dec 2012. I haven't heard from or spoken to him since.
My dad just called me. My great aunt is having a 95th bday party next Sat. Orginially, my dad and Cheryl had thought I shouldn't go, because my uncle will be there, and they didn't want a chance of family bickering between my uncle and me to ruin the party. Understood, and valid. I was prepared not to go.
My dad told me that he talked to my uncle, and that my uncle sends me his congratulations on my accomplishment, and asked if I was coming to the party. After hearing that, I'm going to go, and not say a word to him about what happened. To me, this is a new phase of my life, and I'm not going to hang on to hurts of the past.
I still haven't heard from Jay, so that likely means no work on Monday. I'm going to give him until Tuesday, and then contact him.
All in all, things are looking up, and I'm hoping this results in a good 2014.
