I'm going to post this in the blog, with the hope it will either be ignored.. or replied to sincerely, unlike the blowup thread currently in the main forum.
As I may have posted before.. I had a professor in college for history who never seemed to care only about the right answer. He would always say "The most important thing to remember is WHY, and that if you don't know WHY, you don't know anything. " (His exact words )
After the ill advised "Even Keel" thread of a while back, I had really tried to keep all controversial threads out of the main forum.
I've already gone on record by saying that I asked for my own trouble by posting some of the extremely personal threads about my father. I honestly don't know why I made those threads.. To vent.. I guess.. It didn't turn out well.
I know why I made the thread of how to ask the tickling question. This is a tickling forum. I merely wanted advice on how to bring tickling into the conversation, period.
I stand by my assertion that the real question in that thread isn't whether Maria and I are bf/gf, friends, or what not. The real question I wanted to know was simple.. How do I bring up tickling to Maria?
A HELPFUL reply would have been something like : "Mitch, somehow bring the conversation around to tickling, and describe how you had been tickled by a girl, and are ticklish, and then ask her about her tickling experiences or being ticklish". (This is how I used to get answers from the pen pals I had before I joined this forum) I was quite successful at it.
It doesn't matter whether Maria and I are friends, bf/gf, or what not. That was not the point of the thread. All I wanted to know is how to bring the convo around to tickling, period.
I received what I consider to be only a few helpful replies. Those who replied in a helpful manner, actually answered my question.. instead of taking potshots at me, and being a novice shrink like others did.. to ascertain my situation with Maria, while trumpeting to me how much "experience" they all have, without knowing the situation.
That thread shows me that I'm at a complete dead end on this forum.
So..since I can now post nothing.. not even in regard to tickling.. the simple question becomes.. why don't I leave?
I believe the answer is.. So much has changed in my life.. over the past year plus, from my mom passing away, to moving.. to having to deal with my father and his family, and having it not go well, that I didn't want to make another major change.
I've been very careful not to cross the line of the mods "Golden Rule" for other people, that doesn't apply to me. I've always said if I left, it would be on my terms. I didn't want the shame of being banned from here. Such is why I've accepted many decisions in others favor when I've been attacked, that I've considered unjust.
So.. today.. we cross the line to a new low. Now, not only can I not post anything personal. I also cant post how to bring tickling up to a girl.
I'm not going to do what I did in the summer of 2011, and post a farewell thread, not to follow through.
I will bide my time, and when the time is right for me, leave on my own terms.
In the meantime, even if I found the girl of my dreams, I would never show her this site.. or have her register here. She would undoubtedly receive terrible backlash, because of being with me.
For now, the thread will die whenever it does, and its up to me to make sure there wont be others like it.
