This weekend was a very busy weekend. On both Saturday and Sunday, I had bridal showers to go to then right then work afterwords.
On Saturday I went to Megan's bridal shower. She's getting married next month. I hadn't seen her in awhile so it was nice to see even though it was short visit, since I had to work. I was surprised to learn that her fiance Ken is going to take her last name. She had always seemed like a traditionalist, that she would take his. Apparently there's been drama with Ken's family. They won't accept Megan into their family.
Ken and Megan have been together over three years, and they've tried to get his family to come around but they won't. Fed up, Ken and Megan decided that he would take her last name. It's sad that his family won't accept her, especially when Ken's father is a pastor.
Yesterday I went to Emily's bridal shower, which I was able to stay at longer than I was able to at Megan's. I was surprised to find our good friend Ashton made it down. I hadn't seen her in a very long time so it was wonderful to see her. Emily is also getting married next month, two weeks after Megan. 😀
This weekend was also the town's annual Fun Days. It is always freaking busy. And I had to work. Saturday was the busiest. I maybe got a ten minute lull between customers. Sunday was a bit slower but still busy.
