Suddenly, for about the past.. week.. the live news stream from WPVI has completely stopped working.
Jim Gardner was on vacation all of last week. This.. I understand.. as he takes several vacations, for several weeks a year. Fine. Yet.,. the WPVI site live news stream is completely down. I used to watch it in the morning, and, of course for the 6 and 11 pm news when Gardner is on.
I know that Gardner returned from vacation last night, because, I saw a video of him giving the news.
It's definitely the website itself, because.. the WABC live news stream is still working on my computer.
I don't know what to do about this,,. or who to contact to discuss a resolution. The site live news has been down before.. for.. a day.. but never for more than a week, as it is now.
I investigated whether they have stopped offering live news broadcasts on their site. No. They still have an option which says "Watch Action News Online". Yet, when I click it, it gives a "This page cant be displayed" option.
Does anyone on the forum, more.. technically orientated than me.. Jeff? Myriads? have a suggestion as to what I could do. to perhaps bring this to WPVI's attention. As I've posted before, Jeff found me the wonderful link to the live news stream from WPVI, just before I moved from PA in 2012, for which I'm eternally grateful. My continued watching of Jim Gardner, almost every night that he has been on, has been a tremendous help, through all the trials and tribulations of the past two and a half years, after my mom died, and with the business difficulties this year.
Any assistance or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.. or is this just a case of my having to wait it out,. to hope it will come back soon? Thanks.
