Are there any "hints" that someone's ticklish?

So far I've noticed virtually no consistency in who's really ticklish and who isn't. I know there's no universal "tell" for someone being ticklish, but I was wondering if any experienced lers here have noticed common traits among the really ticklish. These can physical or behavioral.

Those who are ticklish tend to laugh, giggle or squirm when you touch certain spots.

haha sorry, couldn't help myself. =x

Yeah, no. Anyone can be ticklish or not. There are no common traits among those who are ticklish other than ticklishness.

I think D hit hit it.

BTW, D...is that Kane Roberts' guitar?

I remember there was a story someone posted where one "tell" was that if a person stuttered, they were ticklish. I doubt that was scientific, though.

Girls whose giggles seem to kind of well up or bubble up and burst and who get kind of giggle-drunk are usually very ticklish.

Actually now that I stare at it, D you're right. This one's a bass It is way cool tho.

Irish jigs, huh? Who'da thunk?

I don't think there's any sure way without tickling them, but I would think a person who is naturally very anxious, or high strung would be very ticklish.

I don't think so, but to be honest I'm not sure. Found it a while ago and thought it was cool looking.
It'd be a really horrible guitar when it has only four strings ;) kick ass bass though <3

I can at least vouch for this one :3 I am super giggly

A good way is to ask, and upon getting the answer 'no', put on an evil grin, raise your hands and wiggle your fingers menacingly, and move towards them saying 'We'll see about that!' Trust me, 80% of the time it works everytime!

Really? Huh...well, I used to stutter a lot as a child and I even went to this speech therapist to help me with that. And I still stutter a little bit if I get really excited about something and want the words to come out fast. lol :D
But I've never been tickled before. :scared: Maybe the article you read was that if you tickle babies too much, they develop a stuttering problem when they get older. =/

Interesting thread, I have wondered about the question myself. I believe, that the only way to find out if someone is ticklish, is to tickle them. I don't think ticklishness can be seen in the behavior otherwise.

If someone proves, that I'm wrong, I'll of course admit it.

Most people are ticklish

Aren't most people ticklish? Someone out there must have the statistics. I'd guess something like only 2% of us are not ticklish anywhere. Maybe 20% ticklish only in certain areas (I've tickled a number of girls who were vulnerable about torso but not ticklish on their feet) and the rest ticklish in the usual areas - underarms, ribs, feet - anywhere from normal ticklish to screamin' crazy ticklish.

Well, i tickled several women in Russia and noticed some correlations between nation (genetical ethnotype) and ticklishness. Those Russian women who have some mongolian blood in their veins trend to be more ticklish than those who haven't. Women with partial mongolian identity usually have perfect silk tender skin, their feet have childish look and don't smell.

I always had kind of one theory and that was if a woman wore shoes all the time. To me there are two choices that I have found consistent. First is because they think their feet are ugly (you would not believe how many women I know think that or think feet are gross) or second, they are very ticklish and wear the shoes all the time so nobody will be tempted to tickle or touch their feet. There was this one girl named Erika I knew, and she always wore shoes or boots. Turned out she fit both of my profiles on that one...thought her feet were ugly and extremely ticklish!!! Anyhow, only a theory I thought might fit this thread ;-)

peace out,
daddy

My only theory is if you are around someone and you are so fourtunate as to bring up the topic of tickling or ticklishness and another party moves away, or covers potential ticklish areas (ie: crosses arms or sits on their feet) then thats a good indicater. Of course many will just come right out and admit that "OMG i'm so ticklish!" It almost takes jedi mind tricks to get a vibe for a persons ticklishness, or enjoyment of tickling. The force be wih you.

Then your saying my theory is correct!!!! Thanks ;-)

peace out,
daddy

I know of at least one person for whom it is. She's literally told me that the reason she wears socks all the time is because her feet are "too sensitive".

And yes, she's ridiculously ticklish.
