For those of you who haven't seen "Barbie", there's a short tickle fight scene in the final quarter of the film with Will Ferrell as the ticklee. The tickling is only brief, but what's more interesting is the dialogue with it. He states (paraphrasing) "You don't know how I wish I could call a meeting with the guys just to have a tickle fight."
That line has the very real acknowledgement of M/M physical desire for tickling play without homophobic shame. It's very interesting how that has now entered into the zeitgeist via a movie that's going to be international blockbuster grossing over a billion dollars.
