I'm watching a show about artists on DVD that played on PBS way back when.
Man, a lot of this art is crap. But these things are showed in major galleries.
I wonder if any artists here ever tried to enter a competition with their work, video producers ever tried to enter their work in anything, even those porn awards where people win.
I've seen erotic artwork before at galleries.....trust me, if someone can put up a painting of them basically throwing paint onto a canvas and charging $1,700 for it.......what's the concern for displaying work that's shown here in the artwork section?
It seems like this is very closed community in the sense that people produce stuff for all of us here...and it stops there.
Only Tommy and Yaqi have ever really ventured out into the real world and put themselves out there.
Yet I see this "Gitchy" film, about the tickling clown, and the audience reacted favorably, asking when the sequel was coming out.....
So I was just humbly wondering about media produced here's place in the "art" world......
