Well the best way to maintain maximum cover if you are ordering clips online would be to start with buying prepaid charge cards. I'd guess you'd want to wear some form of disguise and pay in cash for them to cut the trail between you and the cards as best you could, as you'd be on numerous cameras during your purchase. Of course you should take a bus or walk to the purchase location, as you wouldn't want to be filmed getting in and out of a car, as it's plates could be picked up on the parking lot cams.
Now once you have your cards, you can go to a public library, still in your disguise, and via feet or public transport, for the same reasons as above. Using the library systems you buy the clips you want with your pre-paid cards. The e-mail you use for them to be sent to is of course a burner e-mail that you created at someplace like e-mail for a day or such, which is only good for one use.
Then you can get home and get out of the dark glasses wig and parka, and get your own laptop. Toss up an ISP skip program, and drive off to your local Starbucks or McDonalds (though the one a hundred+ miles over in the next state over would be a better choice) and hop their free WiFi, and access your burner e-mails, and get the download links, and download your clips.
Transfer them to a memory stick and wipe them from your laptop. Also delete all e-mail and scrub the registry, and such.
Once home again, you can copy the clips from your memory stick to your dedicated offline system, that has no internet connectivity at all, which removes the risk of outside access to your system and having your material exposed. Of course you keep this system under passworded lockdown, and possible encrypted access, with a wipe program on failure.
Now you can watch your clips.
That's probably the best you can do to maintain your privacy on all fronts and stay in the closet about your taste in porn.

I very much disagree with this. So long as people continue to take the "I dont care if I am being watched all of the time and a log of it kept forever" or the "if you're not doing anything wrong you shouldn't care" mindset, things will only continue to get worse. It is scientific fact the personal privacy is important to a healthy life and subsequently the enrichment/progress of society. With that said, it does not take scientific studies to recognize the harmful aspects of feeling constantly monitored. Why should anyone be okay with some other person / organization basically monitoring your every thought and way of life, and keeping indefinite records of it.
I appreciate "all" responces...the thing I really have trouble with is the vanilla card folks wanting a ss number.
I hope you are just being facetious; but a more practical solution is to stay at home, boot up a live linux distro from dvd, temporarily change your systems mac address (macchanger is very easy to use), route your web traffic through SSH, TOR or use some sort of encrypted tunnel and download your clips to your a hard drive that is protected with full disk encryption. Tor even has its own browser. Now once you have your cards, you can go to a public library, still in your disguise, and via feet or public transport, for the same reasons as above. The cool part is if you learn how to do all that stuff, you just developed some skills that help protect your privacy online without having to drive all over the country to do so..
