Actually it's a problem with Java itself, TMF has also lost their chatroom temporarily as I assume most applications that use it. So no, you're not the only one.

interesting you should say that (about Java); as while I got into the chatroom ok a few minutes ago, my Facebook chat (also Java I believe) is acting flukey...
Current versions of the Firefox browser now automatically give a security warning before allowing you to activate Java. The Chrome browser also gives a warning, but with a more helpful message.
Please be sure that your Java is up to date (check here) -- it should be at version 1.7, update 45 as of today. To update Java, click here for directions. You should uninstall all previous versions before updating Java.

A corrupt file in the Java cache could be causing this. Try clearing your Java cache by following the instructions at https://www.java.com/en/download/help/plugin_cache.xml, then close and restart your browser. Please let me know if the problem persists.
