I wonder what Knismo and 'Stuck in the Stocks' would make of this thread........
Would you settle for a cheap imitation?
There are a couple of reasons why those of us who do "feet only" videos do them. They can be broken down into practical reasons as well as personal ones.
Personal Reasons:
I mostly make my videos for my own enjoyment. In other words I make the stuff I like to see and hope that other people will also enjoy them enough to want to see them. Strictly speaking, I have a foot fetish and a tickling fetish. I like the look of feet. So when I'm watching a video, especially in HD on my 50" TV, and it's a niiice closeup of some lovely girl's feet getting tickled, I'm a happy sponge.
My videos sell, so I know I'm not alone. And there is a faction of foot guys out there who really don't give a shit about the rest of the girl (disclaimer: I'm not one of them), so videos like mine appeal to them. In short, you, the people in this thread, are not my target audience.
Practical Reasons:
Yes, often it's because the girls want their privacy to be respected, and I will do that. To those of you who say "Just don't use her", that's not a reasonable position for a producer to take for a couple of reasons.
The first reason is that unless you're a big name, you're not going to get women flocking to do your videos. When I post casting calls on Craigslist, I
may get one or two responses. Three or four if it's a busy month. Of those responses, one of the girls may flake out, one may send me a picture that makes me cry out in terror and say "No, I'm not using her", and one may ask for a ridiculous amount of money in compensation. That leaves... the cute, personable girl with gorgeous, ticklish feet who won't show her face. You have to update your storefront at least once a month, so what do you do? Go without, or hire the cute no-facer?
Secondly...
I quite like these videos and the amateur feel they give off, however there is no excuse for producer of clips for profit to make such a clip.
Strictly speaking, very little separates an amateur from a pro in this case, and the difference is usually up for debate. (Example: I consider myself strictly amateur. My last model told me I am a professional. She's definitely a professional. So, I trust her opinion.)
The main difference between a pro and a non-pro is whether or not they charge for their work. Other differences include level of production values and sklll in photography, which are easily attainable by someone who does such for a hobby or is willing to learn; in other words, it's possible for an amateur to produce pro-quality work with the right skillset, even if they're only shooting their wife and not selling their material.
A gag and blindfold, balaclava or even enough duct tape (perhaps combined with a hat) would make anybody anonymous.
True, except we're right back at square one with the problem being you don't get to see the model's face, which is the entire crux of the complaint.
Another thing to realize is that a lot of times these girls are either amateurs fresh off the street or part-timers who're doing it for a laugh/to branch out. A lot of times they don't mind doing the shoot but they don't bring a chaperone and consequently will not consent to being tied up, gagged, or having bags put over their heads because they want to be able to see you and make sure you're not gonna whip out your dick in the middle of the shoot and rub it all over their toes when they can't see you coming (literally!).
It's extremely important to make the girls feel comfortable so that they'll want to come back and shoot with you again. I've had at least two referrals from models who enjoyed shooting with me; Teri recommended Catherine, and Barbie connected me with an absolutely jaw-dropping friend of hers who is going to be responsible for my best material yet. (Stay tuned!) And girls who are comfortable with you open up more; Teri wouldn't show her face on our first shoot, but she wants to come back and this time she's consented to the 'full body' experience. I'll be shooting with her again when I come back to California in October.
Now, all of that said, it's perfectly okay if you don't like these kinds of videos. What I don't understand is why you'd start a thread to bitch about them. After all, it's not like they're all you can buy; there's hundreds/thousands of other videos out there covering every possible niche of the foot/tickling fetishes. With the exceptions of big names like Foot Paradise, who mix foot videos in with the rest of their extensive catalogues, those of us who focus on them aren't in the majority, and as already mentioned, you're not our target audience. So why bother calling us out when we're not even trying to sell to you?
To me, this falls under the topic of
Complaining About Shows You Don't Watch. Are you trying to stop us from making videos you're not watching anyway? What's the deal?
