What's y'all's opninion on this part of the fetish? It's not a large part I think, but the market is growing, as evidinced by the PawFeather comics.

As a furry, I love to tickle others and make em laugh. This works out well for me cause as my name, I am an avian furry, specifically a phoenix (very rare), ans it helps to have those feathers at my disposal >3

So what do the rest of y'all think of this? If you don't like furries, that's okay, to each his own. Just don't be a pinhead and post trolling "yiff in hell" comments kthanx ;>

Yeah we got a few Furries knockin about somewhere, always welcome :)

Hari

Apparently it's really taboo or something. I'm not sure why, though.

I just don't get the whole furry thing. People think they are anthropormorhic animals in real life or something? I dunno.
I don't do for any of the artwork of it.
But, hey, whatever floats your boat I guess...it's just not my thing.

By the way, whats a "yiff in hell"? Is that some furry code or something?

Hari: Our influence grows! >3

Crystal: It is? Hmmm doesn't look like it.

Sandrock: Well...sort of. At it's core, the fandom is people who appreciate art of anthropomorphic animals, and usually have their own characters. Some do think they are actually animals, but not everyone.

Oh and "Yiff if Hell" is from "Yiff in Hell Furfags" a chant used by trolls from chanboards that are militantly against furries for some reason, I dunno @v@

Anyway, this is a tickling discussion so lemme fill you in: As a phoenix, I love to tickle furres. I'm uber ticklish myself, so my feathers don't always save me XD

As for what species is the most ticklish? Hmmm honestly I don't know. All I know is we need more birds X>

"Yiff in hell" is an insult, actually. Yiffying is furry sex, and the aforementioned phrase is used to mock furries.

Anyway, I've been mistaken for a furry as I used to draw a lot of anthro art in my high school/early art school days, but it was never a lifestyle/sexual preference.

So, I can really appreciate some innocent tickling furry art, but that's as far as it goes for me. Pawfeather is a decent artist, don't much care for his style though. If a really good anthro tickling artist came onto the scene, I'd be all over it.

OK....wow. Every day I find out there is more to this world than I ever realized!

First the TMF went from a */F tickling forum (which was cool by me, personally) and then it had to change to a */F and/or M forum and NOW I'm seeing it morphing into a */F or M or Furry forum. I think I'm just getting too old for all this.

Still....whatever floats your boat I guess.

Hah, I wish I could draw period @v@

I like all furry tickling art. I'm a bit more biased towards more x-rated tickles cause I'm perverted that way :p, but I like it all ^v^

Sandrock: Hehee, we're not THAT big of an influence yet :p For now I think furry art will just fit into the usual art forums cause it's sparse around here as it is

Rule 34, my friend ^^

As you said: "To each, his own"

:dog: Although the whole "furry" thing isn't my cup of tea, I understand it. We all have our preferences--some prefer to be 'lers, others 'lees; some are foot people, others upper body; some use tools, others like fingers. It's all about what works for you...if it feels right, than by all means go for it.

Personally, the concept of Furries intrigue me. In Native American cultures there is the belief that each person has their own personal animal spirit, or totem. As a furry, you become that animal (or in this case a mythical bird), thereby relinquishing your personality, and also your inhibitions, by assuming the behaviour of your totem.

Don't mind it. Not into it, but doesn't bother me. Just like all the other cartoons here I guess.

I am an artist but I have never drawn any furries. Well, now that I think of it, I did just draw a werewolf in the comic book I am doing. Do werewolves count as furries? They do have fur and all...

What are all these codes you're throwing into your text?

>3 @v@ X> etc.?

They don't seem to be working.

Methinks its some sort of furry speak.

Lamb: Thank god for Rule 34 XD

Wildtime: I've heard of that, there's a slight mythological influence on the fandom as a whole I think

Gothgirls: Alrighty then :}

Sandrock: Hmmm sort of. It's debatable, but I think the general consensus is that they can be if the artists says so.

Drew: Those are emotes that I type out X3

What is Rule 34? Is that like the Ferengi Rules of Acquisition?

I'm a big fan of furry tickling artwork.

I'm not into being a furry (having an alter ego) in real life, but for those who are, it doesn't bother me.

I can't imagine why it should bother anyone.

Especially on a fetish community.

Artoo and I had this conversation the other night: it continues to perplex us when a fetishist who understands unacceptance, can be so ... well ... unaccepting.

In the realm of fetishes, this one is fairly tame. It certainly doesn't bother me. There's a place for everyone.

^^ what she said.

Interestingly enough, furries seem to have more prominence in the mainstream than many other fetishes (especially on the internet). And yet they're still seen as creepy/weird...

I think most people that are bothered by it aren't really bothered by the concept of a furry fetish. I suspect they are more annoyed with the way some of these people present themselves as though they actually are furry creatures.

Roleplaying is fine, but it must be negotiated and not assumed. Not long ago a girl described herself as having a tail. Some were annoyed that she stated this as fact rather than saying "I like to imagine myself with a tail," or something similar.

Almost everyone. While I agree this and most fetishes are harmless, let's not forget that there are some out there like pedophilia, necrophilia, and beastiality that are not tame and have no place in civilized society.

Some on this forum have suggested that since we as a community engage in a fetish ourselves, we've no right to regard any other fetish in a negative light. Again, I agree with this principle as it applies to harmless fetishes, but unfortunately not all fetishes are created equal.
