Having a wild weekend

Hi group.

I thought I would relate my latest weird experience and ask a question at the same time. Okay here goes:

This weekend I had to help a pal of mine from college. She is married now and she and her Domestic Partner are expecting thier first kid in about 5 months. (Yeah I know, "How very Ward and June Cleaver, right?) Well anyway I went over to help fix up a room in their house which will become to new nursery. Taking inspiration from Genevieve Gorder on "Trading Spaces" I decided to work barefoot while I did the painting and redecorating. All was going okay painting ther ceiling sky blue and adding in clouds and putting "fun" shapes on the walls and so forth. BUT!
I happened to step backward to get a good view of some work I had just finished and stepped in some paint that had been spilled on the floor. Now the bottoms of my feet are sky blue! Bonnie, my college pal, came running in when she heard me yell going "Daphne what's wrong, are you okay?" and I said "Yeah I'm okay but now I'm kinda blue!" Don, her partner, sort of grinned and grabbed his camera and asked if he could take a picture of my blue soles, which he did.
Now I'm coming up to the question I want to ask. While we were cleaning up I noticed there were 2 copies of the old movie THE BUTCHER'S WIFE in with the DVD's in Don and Bonnie's bedroom. When I asked about that she said it was one of Don's fave movies and he watches it often, like, even when Bonnie is not around. Now I don't have to tell any of you what the main attraction in that film is, right? It's Demi Moore barefoot in nearly every scene. His being so anxious to photograph my painted feet and now knowing what one of his fave movies is leads me to wonder out loud if this guy has a foot fetish that he is keeping secret from Bonnie? I know for a fact she does not go for tickling
or any sort of fetishism that I know of. Does she know about it and does she just tolerate it or is she blissfully unaware? These are not questions I can ask her but maybe we can do some proxy psychoanalysis on this board. What do you think?

PS: Does anyone know how to get latex based paint off?

Well, just for discussion purposes...

My wife doesn't know about my 'fetish'... (probably because I'm blissfully happy with her in her entirety!) and as a result, there is no harm done.

The most 'unfaithful' I have been is to be a part of this group.

Why have I not told my wife?

Perhaps fear of rejection/repulsion...perhaps just the fact that it was never a factor of note in our relationship.

Now the morality issue:

If I am hiding things from my wife, am I being fully faithful to the relationship?

I would say that the degree of faithfulness is not in question, as my 'fetish' was discovered during our relationship. If it was ever present, yet un-named fetish was not a factor before it was named, is it now something to be worried about? I think no.

My fetish does not influence my actions any more now that it has been named, than before when it was un-named.

This is all well and good, but how does it impact your friends?

Is this lack of information a damaging factor in their relationship?

More to the point, is it more damaging to him or her?

Another case in point:

What if his fetish/fantasy was to have her dress up as a french maid, if he does not act upon/express his fetish/fantasy to his partner, does it affect her? or only him?

Just a thought...

(BTW I use sand mixed with dishsoap: make a paste...works great! If it's oil based, use low viscosity vegetable oil.)

In my humble opinion, I think she is unaware. I would think she would have mentioned it to you somehow at some point in your friendship. While clues may be left around, Bonnie probably has not pieced them together yet. At least not on a conscious level.
She has not followed the "footprints".
