The short version: My body only wants to sleep 2-5 hours a night no matter how tired I am.
My thyroid test is "fine".
My doctor, who I thought was a fairly reasonable, knowledgeable dude, suggested Ambien, which is nasty stuff (tried it) or some other such highly-advertised sleep remedy. They don't help one bit.
Exercise makes no difference either.
I feel like I'm trapped with no way out.
I've thought of using a naturopath, but I've no idea how good the one in town is. My chiropractor has come up blank too.
I'd appreciate any advice anyone here could give.
