Just my opinion, but I think it's because A) The target audience (men) don't like to see other guys while they're enjoying what is essentially porn, and B) a lot of people don't like their face to be seen during tickling due to a power thing. Again, just one mans humble opinion.

...and that's pretty much why they do it. We had a thread here recently complaining about how there aren't any "hot guys" in clips, and IMHO male attractiveness is really subjective. Even if the guy thinks he's good-looking enough to show his face, there are people who will think otherwise and lambast him for being "delusional". Me, personally... I don't think I'm ugly, and most of my gal pals don't, either - but I'm not the subject of the video, so you don't need to see me.

Maybe in some cases it's about not feeling attractive enough but I have a producer friend, a more well known one, who is actually one of the "hot guys" I wouldn't mind seeing in tickle videos. And I've talked with him about it. The whole "Why do you wear a mask" thing. It's a cross between the target audience thing and the vanilla job thing. I don't mind seeing him in the mask, I mean, I know what he looks like but even if I didn't, can still enjoy the clips for what they are.

The reverse of that though would be the men who are profusely overweight or extremely unattractive who do NOT wear masks and appear in their videos and still have no problem making money and selling clips. I think it's mostly about the subject matter anyhow.

And on that note, even though it's a smaller market, I think someone should cater to the female fetishists among us and have "hot guys" as the lers in the videos. I'd be more than happy to help the screening process of that lol I'm sure we could get a few other women, since "hotness" is subjective, we could even make like a panel of female judges lol

I was having this discussion with a customer the other day. He was making suggestions like getting female ticklers, adding foot worship, etc... and while they're all good ideas, the fact is (as derkitzelnonig points out) I'm not making shit in the way of profits. I've lost money on every clip I've made and have basically stopped hiring new models until I finish editing/releasing all of the stuff I've already shot and made back my investment - which, at the current rate of sales, will probably take me a year. I'm going to be going under long before that, I reckon.

I can't speculate on other producers' profits, but I can't afford to hire more than one model at a time, and I have to find girls who work cheap, to boot. So regardless of whether or not I wanted to do F/F, or add male models, or whatever... it can't happen until people start buying my clips.

One problem that nobody's touched on, though, is that the more people you add to a shoot, the harder it is to direct. I mean, half the time the girls don't even pay attention when I tell them the safeword, and you can't direct them during the video if you're using sound... so okay, you give her half-a-dozen stage directions before the camera starts rolling, and then she either forgets or decides to improv. Now you have a problem. Add in a second model, regardless of gender, and now you've multiplied that problem by two. It's not a big deal with F/F because guys don't give a crap as long as they get to watch hot girls, but guys in videos tend to be... stupid. I'd be really wary about using a guy as a model unless I knew he wasn't going to screw up the shoot - and all that on the off-chance that one woman might buy the clip? No. Not worth it. The big guys are welcome to give it a whirl, 'cause I sure can't.

PS - It has nothing to do with the IRS, at least where Clips4Sale is concerned. You can't even open a store without valid ID/tax information.

this exactly... some people are worried that outside folks might recognize them ... chillax dude.. you dont like it DONT WATCH IT... problem solved... better yet---- have some real life experiences and you wont need to rely on video clips for satisfaction or option 2... start your own clip company and do it your way.
