Anyone else think this is the single greatest album ever made?

hell yea mate, it's a shame that they won't make music like they used to.

I love that Album! It is so great that they simply repeated it with "Justice for All"...

Master of Puppets is a great album, you can just feel the power and emotion in those songs.

Can't argue with the production value of it.
Yeah...I remember when Metallica was metal...those were the days..
...I miss those days :bat:

Ride the Lightning is still my personal favorite but master of puppets is most definitely a close second. Both are pretty much perfect albums I think. The way everything musically flows together so well it is just unbeatable.

"Master" is an awesome cd. it was the first metallica album i ever owned. however, it being THE greatest...i dunno. so far the greatest album, in my opinion, has been Disturbed's "10,000 Fists".

to many great albums to choose just 1.this i can tell you,I saw them open for OZZY in 1984 when original bass player Cliff Burton was still alive ,they wore jeans and t shirts on a plain stage. they played loud and fast and kicked m ajor ass.so i definately have to say the earliest stuff is the best. master master where's the dream that i've been after

Master master, you promised only lies...

Your so lucky seeing them live with Cliff, how I would have loved to have seen that. I've seen them 4 times and they never disappoint, when the play the 'oldies' they can do no wrong :firedevil

Master of puppets was the first album I ever bought with my own money. (first album I ever 'owned' was the ghostbusters soundtrack). It pretty much has set a benchmark for my metal taste (even though I listen to alot of heavier stuff these days.) I will never tire of it, or not be in the mood for it. Funnily enough I have never been able to sit through load, reload, and the new one. cant stand it. Oh well. ('sniff')

Ah, back in the days when Metallica was actually good. What wonderful memories. I don't think I'd say it was the greatest album ever, but it was a really good one.

Sounds like I've been missing a good album. Maybe I'll go ahead and download it free from a rogue file-sharing server. :blaugh:

you are indeed missing out, drew.
master of puppets has led me to a variety of metal...a gateway CD, if you will. i'd still give anything to warp back in time to see them live from around that era.

i started playing guitar in 1988, and back then if you werent practicing riffs from " MASTER " , then you pretty much sucked...i dont know if its THE metal album, but it should certainly be in the top 5 at least.... :bump: :devil2: :bump: :devil2:
