So this came up in my feed and I thought "I wonder if feet being tickled could recognize musical torture?"

Obviously not my most serious post, but being (I hope) people know me as a musically inclined guy, I thought it was an interesting premise.

TL;DW : guys who like playing music send MIDI to unmusical appliances and play music by changing operating voltages.

The only thing that comes to mind is something like

A conductor's stick or a violin pick.

That might hurt though if you were rubbing, running it on a woman's soles or body, depending on how it was being done, I mean, it;s sharper than a pen or a feather.

I've talked to women who have been tickled with pens on their soles, but I think the things I mentioned would be more, sharp etc.

idk I think I like the concept of musical soft tickling devices. Poking=bruising eventually.

This thread title immediately reminded me of the "Excessive Machine" from Barbarella :)

What about drum brushes? They seem pretty light and you could do all kinds of motions, from light, wandering strokes to drum rolls.

By themselves they may not make much sound, but if you were willing to play with electronics you could use motion sensors or even a Kinect to create something interesting.

I was thinking the same thing!
There's even a part there where she give a quick little laugh before it gets really intense. I always thought the Excessive Machine could easily be repurposed for tickling.

It should be relatively simple using an Ardueno, few motor controllers and a MIDI keyboard.
[oh boy, my mind goes "matrix vision" with schematics... again...]
