Narin thread pulled thread has been pulled?

What kind of deviant posts could have caused such an unprecedented occurance? Must we administer salt peter?
I guess it's the price Narin must pay for being so gosh darned cute.
Let's hope she doesn't leave the Forum in disgust.

Yeah, it's been moved by request, and I await the Tzar's ruling on it. Suffice it to say that not everyone was tea-time civil to the woman, and that some took offense. I got notice that someone complained, and could see why, and that's part of my job.

'Course, we all know how sensitive and delicate I am, so maybe the fellow stepping WAY out of bounds was just my own fragile perspective. Picture flying monkeys at this point, and do avoid picturing the source of 'em.

Myriads has the final say on that one, though. I leave it to him. I personally think that someone was inconsiderate to Narin, and made mention of her in ways that incensed at least a few posters in the thread, and one person complaining. Oh, and me.

Check my post, above yours, sir. Jeff didn't pull it, nor did he indicate that anyone should. I did, of my own accord, because I received a complaint about that thread from someone that read it. See at the bottom of each post, where it mentions "report to moderator". That's me. I'm one o' them moderator folk.

Again, when the Tzar has made the call, I'll know if it's gone for good or not.

In the mean time, folks, she's one of US, a poster here. A person. Narin deserves better than she was treated in that thread, regardless of whether or not it comes back, edited or not.

Ask yourself if you'd appreciate anyone, male or female, that you didn't know from a gorilla's behind, makin' sexual references to you in a post here? Would it be cool to do that to anyone here? I don't think so.

Most here don't want the wrong folks talkin' about them as sexually stimulating, as a general rule. If you doubt that, tell me, and I'll start making such commentary, and you can decide whether you want such from a scruffy, hairy, caustic, little white man with an attitude. Don't sound so fun, do it? While it *could* be enticing from the right quarters, no one can know they're right unless told, and thus it's better not to do it, ESPECIALLY when it offends the readers. Takes a lot to get someone here to complain, and someone did. Someone BESIDES the folks in the thread.

dvnc my man! i checked your post. now please re check mine. i did not say jeff pulled the thread personally. i expressed my feeling that a moderator of jeff's site, that resides on jeffs server, pulled the thread. you know? a moderator who may be more sensitive to the boss's models, than maybe he would be to other girls in films? because jeff's latest model was being drooled over, you pulled the thread. that was my point. i never pointed the finger to jeff as actually pulling the thread himself. thank you, thank you very much. im somewhat concerned at the large amount of deleted posts and threads lately in here. what can we talk about here?

To more deliberately answer your questions, it would have been pulled even if it was YOU complaining about QBWeaver making sexual references to you in a familiar tone. I don't care WHO the person is. Model, expert, president, janitor... it just don't matter. If it gets complaints, one of the mods checks it. If it's questionable, it goes to the mods to review. If it's just offensive, it goes away, AFTER the mods review it anyway. Any way it goes, brother, the mods review it and Myriads decides. Someone that WASN'T even PART of the thread complained. Didn't take rocket science to see that there was a valid point to the complaint, hence, post pulled.

I took your food for thought, and expressed, sir. THEN, AFTER responding to yours, I added commentary. My apologies for not better delineating them. I'll correct that momentarily.

However, you DIDN'T specifically say Jeff, so I apologize for any confusion regarding such is seen in my response, and I'll check it again and correct such.

I myself have suspected the mods of stacking the deck from time to time, but I must agree with DVNC on this one. Narin really is NOT a tickle model. She's a 19 year old college student. She's also a Forum member. It was her enthusiasm for tickling, not money, that motivated her to make that film (don't you just hate people that are all about money).
It's unfortunate that attractive people like Narin and myself have to deal with alot of unwanted advances. It's the price we pay for being so good looking.
If we're going to attack the mods we should not involve Narin. If you really want to get on the mods asses you should bust their chops for their lack of assistance in helping me post video clips of the video I made with Playboy model Laurie Wallace. Not ONE of these guys has a video capture card? Pleeeease.

I checked it out and saw, as usual in a wayward thread, one guy going too far and not dropping the joke until he grossed everyone out. Most guys here don't do that. In fact I see members reminding others to please watch what they're posting if something seems out of line, and usually it turns out to be a misunderstanding. That's the kind of thing that makes this a nice place to visit, for men as well as women.

Whatever your opinion of the mods, your questions should be turned toward members whose posts get whole threads pulled, meaning all the posts are lost. Before she was insulted, Narin had been nice enough to post her e-mail address in the thread in question. Can't imagine she'll be doing that again. Can't imagine any woman who read that thread would consider it either.

You can see by a lot of recent posts that women take a long time to get comfortable enough to speak up; and references to tented trousers are not what most women want to hear from Virtual Strangers. Which is what we all are.

Wow, everytime I take a day off from the forum all hell breaks out.

The thread was removed because the woman (Narin) who was the topic of the thread was offended by the jokes made in it about her, and asked to have it pulled. They involved body parts and lots of English slang that made the topic rather confusing. I would pull any thread where a user was having uninvited sexual comment made towards them that they didn't like. The fact that Narin is a model has zero bearing on things. Idealy one would only need to remove a post or two from a troublesome thread in a case likw this, but in this case the entire thread was this long involved joke, so it all left. A typical case of people having fun and it ending up in a way that no one intended or probably desired. I don't think any one set out to offend Narin. It just happened because we all have a different sense of humor. Nothing more.

Almost every conflict I run into on this place tends to stem from misunderstood comunication. Some one makes a joke or a statement off the cuff, and someone takes it wrongly. Then it turns into some form of directed argument as person two slams person one and back again.

All over things that could be cleared up with a touch of reasoned conversation, or a calm moment to reflect and ask the first person what they really meant, or if they meant it the way it came out. But in this wonderful day and age of immediate response and gratification people are too fast to take offense, and seem to have a need to defend themselves immediatly without taking a pause to step back and try and understand. It's simple. Stop, take a breath, and then perhaps realize that the person might not be attacking you. They might be expressing frustration about something else, or simply be venting in general. It might have even been humor. It happens, we have bad days. It happens, we miscommunicate our thoughts. Communication is imperfect. Typed communication even more so.

Pause. Reflect. Ask for clarification. Odds are the problem was never there. It was only imagined.

I completely agree with Myriads here. We really need to start getting along better.

The decision to pull the Narin thread was a wise one, and I feel that it would have been done for anyone who felt threatened, humiliated or just plain uncomfortable by a post. I myself got a tad upset about it because Narin is kind of like a little sister, and a little overprotectiveness is going to happen. She went out on a limb to make the film and inadvertantly opened herself up to some less than savory responses. Most of us were kind and supportive, but there are always a few bad apples.

As far as the general sense of comaraderie around the TMF, we really have to start acting like a family. There wasn't one like this even 5 short years ago, and I for one would hate to see it go down in flames because of some disagreements. I think the Mods do a fantastic job of weighing all the possibilities before pulling a thread. It is hard at times to fully "get" the tone of voice intended or if anyone is serious, angry or what have you. It's all in print, not by voice, so there are a lot of things to consider.

Now, everyone smoke a big fat one and mellow out. Let the Mods do their job.

As far as Wallstreet's post, I originaly thought it was in jest, by the "tone" of the writing, and that has started a small angry interaction. See? It's hard to tell sometimes. I'm still a little confused, but it's not my business, so that's all on that. I think Wallstreet and Jeff are both MAJOR contributors to the community and hope we can get back to getting along. But I do agree with Jeff that he spends an awful lot of time defending this Forum. Thanks from me, anyway!

Wallstreet specifically termed his own post as an attack against the moderators. Attacks against the moderators will not be tolerated, as you well know. There is no need for clarification past that point, and you are wrong to say the problem was never there.

The Mods in this forum are doing a terrific job of keeping the home fire burning while keeping the animals at bay.

If you look back at recent past events there was lots of hostility about multiple posts deleted by one moderator who is no longer serving as a moderator. It seems that those hostilities are still running rampant today.

Let's all take a breather and just relax. If one of your posts is deleted you might want to just send them a note to ask why. That's what I did and I got my answer pretty quickly. Please try to refrain from attacking in our forum. There's no need. You can email, ask the question about why your post was deleted and you'll get a quick reply. You may find that your post wasn't deleted at all, it's just being reviewed by the mods. So just relax gang.

Uh, Jeff? My apologies if I'm out of line here, but you seem to be a little... tense.

I admit that I didn't read the original Narin thread, but I understand if it wore on your last nerve. Between the whiny crotch potatoes constantly demanding more free clips, that idiot who asked if you ever attempted to violate your models, the other idiots voicing their desire to violate your models, the imbeciles who claim that any attempt by a Mod to enforce standards of civilized behavior must be part of a corrupt conspiracy pursuing a personal vendetta, Gabrielle's recent attempt at infiltration and subversion, going all the way back to Scott's decision to drop the responsibility for the Forum onto your shoulders so he could go chase hallucinations in the Balkans, in addition to whatever Real-Life problems are already on your plate; I fully recognize that you've been forced to take a whole lot more excrement than anyone in your place deserves. Words fail me as I try to describe the praise due you for not only holding up under all of that, but excelling in the face of it.

Still, not to criticise, but it seems from where I sit and read the above thread that you jumped on WallStreet for his joke just a touch too heavily. I understand completely where you're coming from that genuine attacks on the Mods are unacceptable, but this was uncomfortably reminiscient of the kid who gets arrested for violating the "Drug-Free School Zone" law because he had some cough drops in his pocket. It's the price we pay for being so good looking," how could the next thing he said not have been a joke? It had every appearrance (to me, at least) of using dry humor and sarcasm to illustrate that there really is no good reason to attack the Mods. I actually got fired from the casino where I used to work because my co-workers asked me "How are you doing?" and I said "Fine, apart from the voices in my head commanding me to kill," and just one person didn't recognize it as a joke, so I freely admit that my sympathies lean somewhat towards WallStreet in this instance. However, I also understand that you probably aren't in the mood for ironic humor lately.

I guess, because I'm concerned about you as you appear to be under a smegload of stress, that if the little petty dren is getting to you this much, then take a break from it for a while. Take care of yourself and worry about the whining bospors only after attending to absolutely everything else on your list of priorities. Getting that angry or giving yourself an ulcer over words on a screen just isn't worth it. Honestly, I want to do whatever I can to help.

On the other side of this, if you WONDER about such, question it. "Were you being sarcastic when you said "X, y" in this thread?" Nothin' wrong with askin'. You Sir, have spoken eloquently and diplomatically. I do hope the message gets through to others.

Words offend some and others could care less. However, during an especially sensitive time, sarcasm and or harsh words are not welcomed. As adults, we are burdened with the responsibility to pay consequences to our actions (good intentions or not).

WallStreet is a good man and an active member of the TMF. Sometimes he comes across harsh and crude and he is somewhat of a "shocker". He has also posted many thought provoking things on the TMF. I personally like WallStreet eventhough sometimes he gets my goat! However, just as he is extremely sharp and direct, things DO come back to haunt you. Jeff's response is a reflection of the many abrasive posts that WallStreet has authored and is therefore a taste of his own medicine nothing more. Sometimes that is what it takes to get someone's attention. Hopefully, future posts of WallStreet and anyone else will avoid badgering the Mods and being more sensitive to situations in question.

I do hope that WallStreet stays and everything here on the TMF homefront shapes up. We need everyone's cooperation and nothing less.

It looks like I've really opened a can of worms this time. I started this thread a mere 7 hours ago and it has already snowballed.
MTPJeff-- First I'd like to address "Get off my lazy ass". I may be a wise ass but I'm certainly not a lazy ass. As far as any videos I make goes it was never my original intention to sell videos, and to this date I have not sold one single video. The only reason I even considered selling them was because people had expressed an interest in seeing my stuff and I was having a difficult time getting clips posted. I spent money out of my own pocket to get a playboy model on video and I planned on posting to the Forum for all to enjoy--for FREE. If and when I do sell anything it will be dirt cheap. In actuality when I consider the money I laid out for the models to do the work I'll probably never even break even, never mind make a profit. I'm not worried about a profit. I had posted many requests for someone to share the knowledge with me on how to post clips. Myriads and JugglerTX were helpful with the info and DVNC made me a very helpful offer that I appreciate. The info you stated about you and the other companies doing your own clip work was the first I had heard of it. You could have responded to my earlier posts and shared that info in a calm tone. The entire time I've been in this forum you've only directed one post at me, and that was on this thread telling me not to let the door hit me in the ass on the way out.
Myriads was correct. The problem was never there. I did NOT direct an attack on the moderators. The title of my posts was NOT "Attack the mods". Your name was never even mentioned. It was a friendly jab at Myriads who fully understood the humor. Wether you appreciate my sense of humor or not makes no matter to me. I'm sure that you're a nice guy when you're not all riled up, and I still think this is a great forum.
In the future you can direct your tantrums at those who deserve it. Perhaps you're under alot of pressure being the co-founder of the forum. If I wanted to bore everybody I could tell them about the pressure involved in coming from a dirt poor town in New Jersey where I had nothing and turning my life around into what it is today. But the fact is that my success makes me no better than anyone else, especially the fine people of this forum. The fact that you're a mod or a co-founder makes you no better than anybody else. If you're going to bitch someone out like you're their father you should make sure you have a good reason.
If I was a little baby I'd probably say that I'm insulted and that I'm leaving the Forum, but I know what REAL pressure in life is all about. I see no reason to let the door hit my ass on the way out. And the ass I'm referring to is one of the hardest working asses on this planet. If you choose not to like me that's your business. If you choose to call me lazy you should make sure you have your facts straight.
I propose that we call this Water Under The Bridge. If you're a big enough man then we can call this the end of it. If you're still ticked off then I guess you can clip little snippets out of this post and let it go on and on.
