But the "pedicure boots" not so much...

I didn't understand it, either; and no one I asked could give me a definite answer as to why they were wearing flip-flops with snow pants in ridiculously cold weather.

My guess is that they are more about design and less about practicality. And they were probably designed by a man with a foot fet...

Buying warm boots for winter that exposes your toes to the elements seems kinda counter-productive to me. Aren't toes one of the first appendages to be amputated in cases of extreme frostbite?

Like most clothing that is designed by men. For example, someone needs to tell designers that women - except those on catwalks! - are not straight from top to bottom, but tend to have an ass and hips!
