what would you name as your 2 favorite rock albums?

i think i'll go with:

moody blues: to our children's children's children

and

ELO: mission, a new world record

oh fun... heh heh

Mine would be U2's Achtung Baby and Tool's Lateralus

Bon Jovi's Slippery When Wet, and the Verve's i forgot the title, but ii had the song Bittersweet Symphony

too many favs...

recently...Grave Digger, Million, and Beautiful Creatures

Only 2, huh?

Well........two that come to mind are:

the first Stevie Ray Vaughan album
Uriah Heep -"Demons and Wizards"

Drew

The Verve have been around for quite sometime and made a few good albums until their split. That album you were thinking of is "Urban Hymns". Still, the lead singer's got a good solo career.

My fave rock album? Too many to mention...

I would say Animals by Pink Floyd and I Robot by Queen,Yes I am giving my age away but saw Pink Floyd perform all songs on album. It was fantastic:bouncybou :bouncybou

:atom: Listen,here it,exactly it's nothing:atom:

Tough Choice

My Two faves are:

The Who: Who's Next
Rush: Moving Pictures

I can name a few more:

Aerosmith: Toy's in the Attic
Meatloaf: Bat out of Hell
Led Zeppelin: Led Zeppelin IV
Rush: All the World's Stage

Bat out of Hell is a good one.
Also:

Bob Dylan - Blood on the Tracks
Velvet Underground - Peel Slowly and See
Live - Throwing Copper
Pearl Jam - Ten
The Doors - LA Woman

and I'm sure more will come to mind later.

You.....only have to pick two. Anyway,

Pink Floyd - Dark Side of the Moon
Pearl Jam - Ten
Live - Throwing Copper
Stone Temple Pilots - Core
Beatles - Magical Mystery tour
Tool - Aenima
Fleetwood Mac - Rumors
Led Zeppelin - Led Zeppelin IV
Soundgarden - A-sides
Audioslave - Audioslave
Collective Soul - 7 year itch
Linkin Park - Hybrid Theory
Nirvana - Greatest hits
Red Hot Chili Peppers - Californication or Blood Sugar Sex Magik
System of a Down - Toxicity
White Stripes - Elephant

You cant make me pick between them! AHHHHHHHHHH :whip: :couch:

Well, I'm gonna have to add more then:

Neil Young -"Tonight's the Night"
-"Live Rust"

ZZ Top -"Tejas"
Ten Years After -"Sshhh"
Love -"Forever Changes"
Humble Pie -"Smoking"

Drew

Only two, eh? (Ever notice that these "favorite album" threads rarely stick to the limit? :D )

Rush- 2112

Marillion - Misplaced Childhood

AC/DC- Back in Black
Ramones- Mania

Though I have the cds, I still can't bring myself to throw out the original cassettes I had....
The Sean Man

I was gonna suggest Who Made Who by AC/DC...but i didn't know if movie soundtracks counted as 'rock' albums.

Well.....since the list is getting bigger, I'm gonna add some of what I think are pretty good records too:

Pink Floyd- "The Piper at the Gates of Dawn"
Bob Seger- "Ramblin' Gamblin' Man"
Blackfoot- "Strikes"
Ac-Dc- "High Voltage", "Powerage", "Let There Be Rock"
Mott the Hoople- "Mott", "All the Young Dudes"
Nazareth- "Razzamanaz", "Loud n Proud", "Rampant"
Van Halen- "1st", "2nd", "Women and Children First"
Neil Young- "Zuma", "Trans", "Reactor"

again, they may not be perfect.....but I like 'em!

Drew

Nickelback - Silver Side Up (as if THAT surprises anyone)

and

Metallica - Metallica (self titled black album)

Many many more, but I don't have the brain power to sit and think of them all right now...lol

Love -"Forever Changes"

There are not enough words for me to describe how superb this album is. It's just too amazing. In fact, I'm going to see Arthur Lee in London on March, Drew.
