Pic of the Week sticky

Seems that almost every week there is somebody out there who wants to know where the Pic of the Week comes from. Perhaps there could be a sticky thread on the images forum that lets us know the source of each photo. Maybe even have the pics 'retired' there at the end of the week, so that people can go back in time as it were to view old favorites.

Just a thought.

I've thought about it, but in honesty, I have no idea where many of the images are from.

Folks, the Pic of the Week was started as a fun thing to showcase a random image from the community. Sometimes a producer created image, sometime a classic old magazine one, sometimes a shot made by folks for fun.

I have a file with about a thousand images and change in it that I periodically add to when I bump into something on the web that looks amusing. Each week I open the file, drop my curser in it and see what I get. Then I post it.

Most weeks no one gives a fig.

Other weeks someone is curious and asked where is it from. I answer the thread if I know. Other people toss in info also. It's worked pretty well for 14 years.

You are always welcome to start a thread in Tickling Discussion about the picture of the week, and if you can get enough people interested in it, it will stick around the top page. It's never managed to when this has been tried before, but you never know.
