Now that this NFL season is over, no better way to get over the hangover than to make impossible predictions about the next year.

If you get yours right you'll be a genius and even if you're wrong, you can get off the hook because no one takes this early predictions seriously. :D

My Super Bowl pick for next year:

Green Bay 24-Baltimore 20

Most improved/'Surprise' Playoff teams:

Houston & San Fransisco

Worst two teams:

Rams & Raiders

I think my only adjustment would be that I don't think the Raiders will be one of the worst two teams. Sub in Tampa or Cleveland instead.

Otherwise I stand by my ridiculously early picks. :D

Afc North winner- steelers

Afc East winner- dolphins

Afc west- raiders

Afc South- colts

Afc wild cards- jets and ravens

afc superbowl represenative- ravens (it kills me to admit that)

Nfc north- Packers

Nfc East- Cowboys

Nfc south- Saints

Nfc west- 49ers

Nfc wildcards- Vikings and Eagles

Nfc superbowl rep- Packers

Most disappoting teams- cardinals and giants ( not the worst teams, just most disappointing)

Superbowl winner- Packers

Kansas City will NOT finish last. Sorry. They may not win the division or even get into playoffs, but they will finish better than Choakland and yes, the Donkeys.

Barring injury, Jamal Charles will be the KC stud at RB with Charlie Weis operating the offense...hopefully the o-line will be back up to speed to give Matt Cassel some pocket time.

The Chiefs are rebuilding in the right way through the draft. I give Todd Haley one more season to breakout.

As for who wins it all, it will be a tall order for New Orleans to repeat.

Will Brett "Douche Bag" Favre return...

Dallas becomes the first team in NFL history to play in the Super Bowl in their own stadium.

uh..oh

its just June 27th

TF4F will be along shortly to tell us how crazy it is to picks NFL in June!! :rotate:

I predict that a team from the NFC will play a Team from the AFC in the Superbowl this year.

Training camp starts in less than a month. :woot:

NFC

East: Dallas
North: Green Bay
South: New Orleans
West: San Francisco
Wild Card 1: Minnesota
Wild Card 2: Philadelphia

AFC

East: New England
North: Cincinnati
South: Indianapolis
West: San Diego
Wild Card 1: Houston
Wild Card 2: Denver

NFC Champions: Dallas
AFC Champions: San Diego

Super Bowl Champions: San Diego

Superbowl belongs to Minnesota. Laugh at me, I know everyone will, but hey... I love my team no matter if they win or lose : )

Too early to pick, but I will say this: ANYONE who picks the Bungles to win the AFC North is smoking some serious crack.:smokingiscool:

Too early to pick, but I will say this: ANYONE who picks the Bungles to win the AFC North is smoking some serious crack.:smokingiscool:

we have learned as burgh fans not to buy the bungles as a real team until they prove otherwise..... we have been waiting about 40 years i dont think its gonna happen, they are just 2 wins a year to us

AUSTIN, Texas -- Cincinnati Bengals running back Cedric Benson was arrested Tuesday and charged with misdemeanor assault for allegedly punching a bar employee in the face nearly a month ago.

Benson was booked into the Travis County Jail, where he later posted $5,000 bail and was released. The charge of assault with injury carries a maximum potential penalty of up to $4,000 in fines and up to a year in jail.

Benson

According to the Austin police arrest affidavit, Benson was at Annie's West bar in the Sixth Street entertainment district on May 30 when he got into an altercation with another, unknown bar patron that left him spitting blood from a cut lip. After staff intervened, witnesses told police Benson shoved a bar worker and was verbally abusive. After being asked to leave, Benson was escorted to the door.

"As they took him outside, he continued to push and shove," Senior Police Officer Veneza Aguinaga said.

Bartender Bryan White told police that once outside, Benson complained to people passing by that "all these white boys are ganging up on me and kicking me out."

White said he told Benson he wouldn't take time out of his night just to kick him out, then Benson punched him in the face.

One of Benson's attorneys, Sam Bassett, said his client "looks forward to telling his side of the story at the appropriate time."

"Though he does not entirely agree with the version of facts recited in the court filings," Bassett said, "he does not wish to make his comments public at this time."

"Mr. Benson has always been willing to cooperate with the Austin Police Department to tell his version of what happened so long as he could have a lawyer present," he said. "The Austin Police Department decided to go forward with obtaining a warrant without obtaining Mr. Benson's side of the story."

Attorney David Cornwell, who also has been hired by Benson, explained Benson's side of the incident in a statement released later Tuesday and said his client has been in contact with Bengals coach Marvin Lewis and the NFL.

"Though we adamantly dispute that Cedric committed a crime, Cedric will continue to cooperate with law enforcement, the Bengals and the NFL in their investigation of these events," Cornwell said.

Aguinaga said police interviewed witnesses and reviewed video from surveillance cameras that caught the incident. Detectives invited Benson to speak with them last week but he didn't show up for a scheduled meeting, she said.

Police then obtained a warrant and Benson was arrested without incident at a private home shortly before 8 a.m. Tuesday. Aguinaga said she didn't know if it was Benson's home.

Bengals spokesman P.J. Combs said the team was aware of the incident but said it was "inappropriate for us to comment until the matter is resolved through legal channels."

The arrest is just the latest brush with the law for Benson and could draw a suspension from NFL commissioner Roger Goodell.

"We are looking into it," said NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy, who said the league would not have further comment.

In 2008, Benson was arrested twice in a month on alcohol charges that were later dropped. While in college at the University of Texas, he was suspended for a game and pleaded no contest to a charge of criminal trespassing for forcing his way into an apartment to find a television he said was stolen from him.

Drafted in the first round by the Bears in 2005, Benson's legal troubles and poor results on the field prompted Chicago to cut him in 2008. He signed as a free agent with the Bengals and led the team with a career-high 1,251 yards and six touchdowns in 2009.

Messages left with the Bengals were not immediately returned.

the start of going back to the bungles

Here are my predictions:

AFC North: Ravens, Bengals, Steelers, Browns

Ravens win this division easily. With the addition of Anquan Bolden, the Ravens' offense is much better. Plus, with Terrance Cody next to Ngata, Ray Lewis must be licking his chops.

Bengals will have a good season. Why? They understand what it takes to win. Mike Zimmer has improved their defense and it will be better. Cedric Benson's problems may hurt them though..

Steelers are doomed. Why? Big Ben is out, and their O-line needs work. The defense should be better, but too many good teams out there.

Browns are a joke. I will enjoy watching them lose at least 12 games again.

AFC South: Colts, Titans, Texans, Jaguars
Colts in first place. reason? Peyton Manning. Enough said.

Vince Young will regress, but Chris Johnson is simply unbelievable. Titans bounce back

Texans had a good year last year, and Andre Johnson is the man, but Colts and Titans are just better.

I like the Jaguars. I really do. I like Jack Del Rio. I love MJD. But, they are just not that good right now. Will see these guys in LA soon!

AFC East: Jets, Patriots, Dolphins, Bills
Jets have a lot of talent, a coach with bravado, and are really good. The Patriot reign is over..

Patriots are always dangerous, but remember, all great dynasties fall. (i.e. SF 49ers, Cowboys, Packers, etc...)

Dolphins will have a shot at 2nd in the division, but not good enough yet. Watch out for B Marshall though...

Bills in last. Gee, do I have to say something that you already didn't know?

AFC West: Chargers, Broncos, Raiders, Chiefs
Chargers are just too good to lose this division. Ryan Matthews will have a good year.

Broncos are doomed. Josh "I'm arrogant" McDaniels will run this team into the ground. But, they are better than the next two teams...

Raiders must have tied Al Davis up in the back during the draft because they had a solid draft, and they dumped overhyped Russell. They will improve. Don't let Al out!

Chiefs still need work. Give them time. they will be a force. In 2020. hahahaha

NFC North: Vikings, Packers, Bears, Lions

Vikings win in a tight race. Of course this prediction changes if Favre doesn't come back.

Packers have all the tools to make a strong playoff push. Let's see if Rogers goes to the next level.

Bears will be good, but unfortunately, Packers/Vikes are better. Swan song for Lovie Smith.

Lions will improve. But they have a long way to go.

NFC South: Saints, Falcons, Panthers, Buccaneers
Saints are defending champs. Brees throws for a jillion yards.

Falcons also are contenders. Ryan makes a big step and proves he will be the elite QB in the future.

Panthers need help. Defensive help. Badly....

Bucs will be better, but I know they miss Gruden...

NFC East: Cowboys, Giants, Redskins, Eagles

Drafting Dez Bryant will pay dividends for Jerry Jones. But, can they advance to the Super Bowl?

Giants return to form. Manning plays better, but can they catch the Cowboys?

Redskins will be good. Not playoff good, but good. McNabb and Shanahan will make this team fun to watch. In less than 3 years, they will run this division.

Eagles made the dumbest move letting McNabb go. He was the reason why they even made those NFC title games. But their defense won't be as sound. We all miss Jim Johnson....

NFC West: 49ers, Cardinals, Seahawks, Rams
My 49ers win this division because everyone else sucks. Let's see if Alex Smith can perform...

Cardinals take a step back with Leinart, but he may surprise people.

Seahawks have Pete Carroll, but he's a college coach. This will be interesting.

Rams will be in position to get the #1 pick next year too!

Playoffs:

AFC
Colts, Ravens, Jets, Chargers, Patriots, Bengals

AFC Rep: Ravens

NFC
Saints, Vikings, Cowboys, 49ers, Packers, Giants

NFC Rep: 49ers. Kidding.... not yet. It will be the Vikings.

Superbowl: Ravens over Vikings.
Eh, these are predictions in June. There is so much football to go....

afc superbowl represenative- ravens (it kills me to admit that)

...

Superbowl winner- Packers

As far as the AFC North goes, I think the Ravens have this year.

Ravens win this division easily. With the addition of Anquan Boldin, the Ravens' offense is much better. Plus, with Terrance Cody next to Ngata, Ray Lewis must be licking his chops.

...

Superbowl: Ravens over Vikings.
Eh, these are predictions in June. There is so much football to go....

I'm seeing a trend here... one which I fully agree...

I remember at the end of last season that Vegas had the odds for the Ravens (and Packers) to win it all at 12/1 or 15/1.

I should have thrown a hondo on each team.

Alas... :sowrong:

I think the Ravens are the best team in the league right now. It really does not mean much right now though when you now you can count on 2-3 major injuries per team.

Things I am excited for:
1. Tom Brady/Patriots to suck
2. Pete Caroll to bring back the mid 2000s Seahawks
3. The Cardinals to fall back to where they belong on the bottom
