If you have it then you should be able to see the video.
Download Gspot, so you can see which codec is used by the clip, and see if you have it. Chances are that you do not have the right video codec for that AVI file (AVI is not a format, is a container; you can have many different codecs used to compress video, and still have AVI as extension, same goes for the audio).
