When I admin'd a phpBB board about a decade ago, there was very little care given by any of us that ran it or the owner.
We didn't have a specific place for polls, they could be added to any thread at creation. Often they were topical, but we were a really irreverent bunch. You can very much see how that experience of doing that with them for so many years colored the way I interact on the interwebs. It was there that "You" became the required last entry in any poll or list.
It started as a sanity check. OP would put "You" at a random place in the poll to make sure that people were actually reading the damn thing. We also let people look and see who voted how.
I'm not trying to tell you guys you're doing things wrong! I'm just saying... We did it differently. We also allowed images without size limits in posts, with the understanding that of someone thinks it would be funny to break the tables with a 3800px wide image, then there must be some good comedy there. We did that, so I don't exactly think our methodology would necessarily be the best here.
And this was a forum dedicated to computers, programming, and technology.
Yeah.
And we were obsessed with comedy. I was an admin and constantly trolled the politics forum. It was hilarious.
All that said, why aren't images enabled?
