Oh, wow! Much pleasure it brings me to see this latest edition and after so many long moons of silence!!
Feathers, ya doughty ol' demon lord, hello! So pleased to hear from you! It's such a comfort to learn that some portion of the old guard hasn't deserted my much beloved TTC yet! I very much feared that everyone had either dropped out or shifted over to the TMF permanently. I spend much time in that latter institution myself, but still try to keep faithful to this fondly remembered site. So happy to know I'm in such jolly company!
Welcome back, O Master story teller!!!A thousand, thousand bells peal with glee to see you resume this tale!!
Yes, it's been gone way, way too long! Not my preference; I'd rather have kept up a more-or-less steady production schedule, but a combination of equipment failure and family obligation has resulted in this huge drought. Am mightily pleased to be able to present this material once again! And to do so amidst such good friends!
And what an edition it is, though I could scarcely believe what I was seeing! Is it possible? Can the God Sid actually now be vanquished after so - and the feathers of Mercy, no less? What a wonderful and gothic twist of irony. The old addage of becareful of what you hunger for lest it consume you, springs to mind!!!
Yep, bogeys (and their divinities) are driven by over-indulgence, and now we see the drawback of such obsession! Thanks for not missing that rather oblique point (delivered, as it was, in the riot of combat)! Bogeys like to see themselves as masters, but their mindless appetite makes slaves of them. Well... force-feeding even a champion glutton like Sid can't have a tidy outcome!
This is an excellent and out standing addition. It had the feel of a grand finale, with the bitter realisation of our much loved hero that perhaps...just perhaps...the cost of victory may be far higher than she believed?
Mercy's tendency toward rashness frequently costs her, and though by now you'll know that she dodged a bullet this time, she better rein it in before she does something that can't be undone. Thank you for your very generous appraisal of this latest installment! I've been sitting on it a long, long time now, and to read such wildly unresetrained appreciation is the best reward possible! It's made the aching wait well worth it!
I hurry on to read the next one!!
Will meet with you again at Chapter 31!
