The point of this thread is my point of view on the industry we all know and love. Now I know that I rarely post but this has been building in me for sometime. I am consumer, the target audience for all tickling media producers.

I have bought hundreds if not thousands of dollars of clips/movies over the years and I view this forum and and TT on a regular basis.


The Past

When I first discovered tickling media on the internet I was dumbfounded, I honestly thought I was a weirdo, but almost ten years ago when I explored websites dedicated to my fetish a wave of release came over me. I found amazing sites put up by talented people.

Another pet peeve of mine is other fetish producers putting their material here, please save that stuff for your core audience. Also again I do not mean to attack and I appreciate the effort but if your going to make a piss poor attempt at a tickling clip, don't bother. The market is filled with goofy and wonky attempts at reaching us the people that will actually buy your products.

In the end I am just asking for three things from tickling producers:

Anyways a big thank you to all the the guys and girls out there who make my life just a little bit better putting out this material. And with all this said I will melt into the back into the shadows.

P.S. This is from the perspective of someone that only follows and enjoys M/F and F/F material. I am sure there are all sorts of cool folks who make F/M and M/M images/clips, but I have little to no experience with that side of the fetish.

I totally agree with the praises you posted for Jeff, TiB and others. They consistantly put out a good product. I also agree that there is some sub-par material out there, often produced by those who simply don't get the tickling thing...and it shows.

I think I'd stop short of asking those whose focus is on other fetishes to not post what tickling they do offer. If people don't care for it, they won't buy it. That will dictate whether or not they continue to post. I'd personally rather have stuff that's not my own preference posted so that those for whom it does fit will be able to find it.

I also think that the specific types of things that folks want to see varies from person to person...often considerably. I think we would all agree on the ticklish models part. But, some prefer to watch a victim struggle and attempt to get away as opposed to being totally immobilized. Some may prefer a more playful scene to an intense one. Yadda, yadda yadda.

I think that, as long as the model is ticklish and the image/sound quality of the video is good, there's something for everyone. And, that's as it should be.

Threads thrive or sink partly based simply on who happens to be around at the time. Some folks wait to think about their response and come back later. Some only read things and rarely respond. It varies. It IS a good thread, though. And I agree with TKLMAN. Post more often! The more folks get involved in posting, the more we have a chance to get to know them.

And thanks for the shout out. I'm glad you find the site enjoyable. Aside from the basic day to day necessities of life, the site has actually become a huge part of my life. On average, I spend about 60% of my waking hours on it. I can't wait to get things up-to-date so all I need to do is watch for new goodies to add. But, no matter how much time and effort goes into it, it's worth it...because this community is worth it! So, thanks again!

How about the future?

I'm not a producer, but I'm involved in other business and entrepreneurial activities, and have been investigating where the tickling video industry (and other AVs for that matter) is heading.

With user-generated contents (Youtube etc) now common, the challenge for producers is not with coming up with unique contents, but rather (1) how to repackage the contents and (2) how to disseminate them. Sure, we never get sick of new batches of pretty ladies getting tickled, but things like tickling technique and bondage style will no longer be the differentiators. For if I do something that is good, it will be copied within days.

The current mode of video production will see a few big boys completely taking over the market - think Google with web search, Facebook with social networking. I'm not going to say who those big boys are, but economy of scale tells us that companies that already have significant revenue and resources will just get bigger at the expense of smaller operators. They can offer a wider and wider array of products at lower and lower cost - something that the small operators can't compete against.

Remember I said before that I've been investigating the marketplace for a number of years. The only way for small operators to thrive - no, nevermind, SURVIVE - is to come up with a different method of disseminating the contents, and with an innovative pricing structure. I'm not saying "make it cheap", but with free contents everywhere these days, folks will have to consider how to make the contents attractive to customers who have a low price tolerance (read: "cheapskates"), yet still make money elsewhere to become profitable.

I won't claim to have the answer, but I'm just trying to say that contents and price alone no longer serve as sufficient differentiators. I know that the tickling industry has been around for MUCH longer, but the landscape has changed dramatically in the last 10 years, and it will keep changing in the next 10. I can see us looking back in 10 years time and wondering how we ever did business the way we do now.

I will humble disagree on some of your points, DownUnder: I believe with all art, with one addition to video, is QUALITY will dictate success. With video, the one addition is the technical aspect of highest quality is usually rewarded with greater success - ie: if one company is still shooting in S-VHS format, and providing clips that are 120 pixels, they simply can't compete with the guys shooting in HD 1080i and offering full screen 1080 clips for sale. ESPECIALLY if they charge the same price!

There are still TONS of new, different stuff that can be done, that has nothing to do with getting the clips out there. Also, quality and hard work is still rare. Yeah, the producers have gotten better, and you've even got people like James Darke who gives all his secrets out constantly. But there are only a handful of tickling video producers out there, really. This isn't like the bondage world, whre there are scores of companies competing with each other. This is just like Hollywood - a few filmmakers work really hard to give kick ass movies, and the rest just want a buck.

The majority of the producers who frequent the forum are the artists of the tickling world. Clips4sale has many more companies that offer tickling clips, and they just do the same thing over and over again, with non-ticklish models.

Shy and Wild Tickling, Charlee Chase's tickling clips are good, Nylon Tickling, turtleboy's, TMJ, etc. We've got some damn good producers here.

And many of those guys can always get better. (Right now, Czech Ticklish Girls is the top in quality, they offer the best looking, highest resolution clips, for cheaper than anyone else for the quality they offer.)

Tickling Paradise.....GOD, I love and hate them! They shoot HD, but render the clips at low quality, small screen! They actually create stories and plots, use costumes, put more work than anyone else into their clips, then not only shoot out quality that is too low to be deserving of all that work, but then spend half the clip on a story which could be laid out in 30 seconds, but interrupt the tickling constantly with the man or woman scolding the ticklee every time!!!!! And YET, they have some of the most ticklish ticklee's out there, like Negar, and Rosana!!! ARGHH!!!!!!!! I don't know whether to give up on them or not!

I know some compnaies probably don't want to give out the girl's personal info, but wen it's a big name producer like Tickle Haven or Nylon Tickling, come on! Some of these girls are models, so they do shoot with several companies like Vivianne used to.

I wish, like, Tickle Haven or Nylon Tickling would hire Negar and Rosana from Tickling Paradise, for example, so that at least we will have a few high qulaity clips of these beautifies before it's too late. (Most tickle models only laugh for a while, then move on. Only one or two stay in the game for years. I mean, where are all the classic beauties, like Priscilla, Rachelle, Ariane, Elizabeth, etc.?)

-I also wish some of the newer companies would try and locate those older models, to see if any would return for a few sequels!

Thanks, mabus. If you (or others) would be willing to expand on a couple of these points, I'd be grateful.

-Plot: I'll start trolling the story section for ideas, but frankly, I discarded the idea of stories right from the beginning because you so rarely ever see a good one (in other words, one that translates well into the world of filming with actual human beings). Would it work, do you think, to have a 30- or 60-second setup at the start of a clip? Any more than that, and I worry it would quickly become "how well can she say her lines while she's being tickled?" There are a few I've seen that worked, but not many. I'd love to hear more of your ideas.

-New outfits: Most models don't own that kind of outfit, so it would take a good deal of coordination to get an outfit in the right size for the right model. But not impossible, so I'm adding this to my mental request list. Thanks.

-Inter-model trading: I've suggested this with a few other producers. Like you, I'd like to see models appear in different producers' videos, just to see the different styles and intensities. Just look at Lo-Lo moving between Rook's Media and Tickle Abuse. Same fantastic ticklee, getting tickled thoroughly by both producers, but a totally different "flavor" for each.

Anyway, you're basically right about contact info, but I think you may be missing a small point. It doesn't matter how big the other company is, I cannot, and will not give out a model's contact info without her specific instructions to do so. That's just a matter of ethics. That said, there's no reason why producers don't provide a "travel forum" where we could register our location, and let models contact us if they're coming into town... It just hasn't been done before, but I think it could work...

-Older models: If the older models are around and looking for work, I'm confident they could find interested producers. Again, we can't share contact info with each other, so there's no real way to find "older" models unless those models look for us...

All-in-all, great thoughts, and I'll be happy to try to work them into my routine going forward. Other thoughts or ideas in response to the challenges I mentioned above? I'd love to hear them...

I've asked around and even started a thread about this, and the overwhelming majority of people who respond are against the idea of a storyline. Cheesy acting and spending money on non-tickling footage were the top complaints.

Thought about this and still might do it, but it is pretty similar to the whole plot/storyline suggestion.

This happens all the time. Many of the producers hire models from the same sites, so if the girl isn't local there is a pretty good chance they will shoot with other companies. On the other hand, maybe a girl shoots with one company and decides she no longer wants to do tickling videos. There also may be girls who use aliases or are hired via classified ads, so they would be harder to try and track down.

People don't like the plot thing because very, very few producers have gotten it right.

I guess they need to stop looking at fetish videos, and look at Hollywood.

I want plot but I totally agree, so few get it right I almost wish they abandon it.

I'll use Tickling Paradise for example:
The story starts, with few and/or bad camera angles (and no tease either, the top of the model and about two inches of blank wall - no foot shots, full body shots.)
This goes on for over HALF the VIDEO!
The tickling starts, but some dude, or the tickler, keeps interrupting the tickling with bad and/or annoying acting. This gets frustrating REAL fast.
Negar's last video had this problem. She's being tickled while dictating for her boss.
DAMN, this was her most ticklish video yet, her laugh was beautiful, it could have been so good you'd cry. But the dude playing her boss had to act like a dick to be in character, and stopped her every 15 seconds! CRAP! So in about a 15 minute video, you have only about 4 minutes of laughter, and the rest the way too long opening and the constant scolding. A masterpiece ruined.

Hollywood movies move things along MUCH quicker. I've always said, the set up could be done in 10 to 30 SECONDS, or not even. It could be with the outfits, or the FEW words of the tickler.
I always reference RealTickling's old "Nurse Gone Bad" video as the perfect example. They tickler is in a bikini, with her breasts almost falling out, she only says about 3 or 4 sentences worth of effective taunts, and Rachelle is dressed as a nurse, and looks like a nurse, not a stripper nurse or cheap Halloween costume nurse.
The tickling starts after about 20 seconds, and is never interrupted, except to take Rachelle's other shoe off. Still one of the greatest videos ever made.

The returning models/hiring other models is a dream, I guess to get it right if a great model ddn't get a video worthy of her full potential. Great model, in a video with poor lighting, maybe, or not quality video (grainy, low-resolution video), great laugh, but horrible tickling. Or as you said, great laugher, but screwed up by over-burdening plot.

Or girl only tickled on bare feet, but not pantyhose, or maybe only pantyhose, but never bare. I've always dreamed of seeing Rachelle return and be tickled wearing suntan or flesh colored pantyhose. Probably will never happen. People have begged Guiltrip to tickle some of his girls on their bare feet, but since his site is called "NYLON Tickling...that probably won't happen for them. But let's say Zen, or Tommy from Tickle Abuse hires them.....then it would become a reality.
