New teacher Raya Tinsley takes on a class of "slow learners" at Seaton High, AKA a group of malcontents whose behaviors range from sullen disinterest to outright sadism. Determined to inspire these students to give a damn about their education and future, Ms. Tinsley puts in overtime to devise creative lesson plans. Unbeknownst to the young teacher, two of the biggest trouble makers Desiree and Lupa have planned a little after school activity of their own to break in their new teacher and show her who's boss.
