I guess it depends on if you prefer to categorize yourself and others within a specific type of group as being the same as each other

"Vanilla" on the Tickling Media Forum simply means a person who does not have our fetish. A person can be pretty wild sexually, and yet still be a "vanilla" here on the Forum. It does not mean the same thing as it does to the rest of the world. Some of US would be considered vanilla by the rest of the world; for instance, me. I love sex, but there's a lot of stuff that most people go ga-ga over that don't interest me at all (anal sex and getting blow jobs, for example).

I secretly always have liked the "vanilla" term, though it kinda makes us look like we're dissing on the meat-and-potatoes sex crowd, and I have no problem with those who don't share our fetish----as long as they don't judge me outright as a "freak," etc. I co-opted "muggles" from Harry Potter, as it's more neutral in that it's more about distinguishing than slamming. The gay community might object to a rainbow theme, though. I personally have no problem being associated with that community, but I suspect they would not appreciate their well-known theme being used by a boutique fetish group.
